If your happy leaving the truth why continue.............
by angel eyes injust want to know why some of you,not all,please dont think im meaning all of you because that truly isnt the case,claim to be happy for leaving the truth,being df etc yet you continue to speak about jehovah or attack him or the organisation??
even for many years after.. this would show that your hurt by them df you.
when someone we love hurts us its natural to want to hurt them back because we have feelings for them.so im thinking that many have love for jehovah still??

I've posted my picture here, but I've got teh paranoiaz enough to not post my name. You Jeffs can get away with that, but my first name is unique. Yes, my name is elsewhere on the internet. Somehow I think I'm less of a target for winning third place in a short fiction contest than I am for being an APOSTATE.

What should I do with all my old JW books? ?? Stopped attending 2000
by Latte inme and hubby stopped attending around 2000, and for some strange reason i have stored all the books we were using at that time.
i am so tempted to light the barbeque ...and burn the lot...as it is soooo cccold here in the north west of england!

When Mother and I decided to be done with it, we put all our books in a box and dropped them off at the house of a brother and sister we liked while they were at the meeting. We had no idea at the time of all the lies the WTS told, just that there was obviously no holy spirit present in the religion. I regret now not keeping one or two of the items for comparison and research purposes. All I have now is my old NWT Bible and they have that available online.
From time-to-time someone will come on here and ask for a particular publication for research. You might offer your items individually or as a group for such people. You could probably use a site like ebay and just sell it for the shipping costs.
Or you could burn it all. I did that once with a lot of crappy old romance novels someone gave me. It was fun.

Speak Truth
by etna inmy wife got back from the meeting yesterday, and she couldn't believe the topic for the wt study "speak truth with your neighbor".
anyway they were commenting and someone said that its ok to streach the truth if your talking to "wicked" people.
but in paragraph 7 they said that if an elder asks you personal questions you have to cooperate and the truth so they can carry out their assigned duties.

What real hope is to me - just a feel good post
by heybaby init's amazing to me how much i've come to life since i've stopped going to meetings and field service and the whole tiresome jw routine.
i find beauty and joy in the simple things.
for example, we never used to sleep in on saturday, because of course that was field service day.

I picked up roadside trash recently...loved it...no suit required!
by oompa inno doorbells either...local community group i joined recently had it planned....very social coffee beforehand....good excerise...and made four friends......plus the road looks a lot better......... kinda pathetic this is my first ever real volunteer work that counts............but it is a start.........oompa.

I helped a group pick up trash a couple of months ago. At first it made me angry that people would throw all that trash on the side of the road. Then I realized that based on where the trash was (and where it wasn't) it didn't come from individuals littering. It had to have come from improperly contained trash receptacles. And it really pissed me off to waste time picking up trash that had already been thrown away, rather than make sure it stayed put.

Found Out I'm a JW urban legend...
by Tuesday ini don't think i've said but i have a sister that's a bit older than me, well actually 9 years older to be exact.
about a year ago we were discussing our whacked out childhood and she started talking about my mother at meetings sitting with a guy that she was interested in.
it kind of made sense to me because my parents got divorced around the same time i was born, my father ended up with a live-in girlfriend shortly after, my wife always tells me that couples don't split up unless they have another person in mind.
