Blood Transfusions and Pedophilia

ajwrb was approached early on about working together on these issues.

we took a hard look and opted out for ethical and pragmatic reasons.

though the issues share a common thread (child abuse), they have to be approached in different ways.

Just a few thoughts on this subject.

The sexual abuse of children is illegal but the refusal of blood transfusions is not. One is a crime the other is a personal preference or in the case of JWs a religious preference.

The Bible does speak of avoiding the eating of blood, JWs extend that application to transfusions; a religious decision. IMO, the current practice in the medical community to take each case individually; at times forcing a transfusion on some children and at other times allowing a "mature" young person to decide what they will or will not accept, is about as good as it will get or should get.

Medicine is not an exact science, at times it has injured almost as many as it has helped. People must have the right to refuse any treatment they do not want, and religion must be allowed the right to practice as it sees fit, within the law.

The answer is education, education, education, which is what you and others are doing and I thank you very much for that!

Would everyone like your change?

Would people work to make your change available and equitable to all?

Would the change advance mankind's maturity?

Lastly, would the change produce a less violent and a more economically balanced world?

Why is Jehovah allowing his name to be disgraced?

jehovah's name, the very name associated with jehovah's witnesses is being disgraced, trampled upon as never before in the organization's history!!.

in the past jehovah's witnesses have been reproached for standing up in defense of jehovah and his word.

jehovah's name was sanctified at all costs and it appears from their history books that jehovah was making a good name for himself by means of their integrity.

GB has dealt treacherously with Younger Anointed!

the younger anointed (those who came in after 1935) in the organization are treated by the gb as both a whore and a beloved wife.. the whore: for years they have published articles whose intent was to denigrate the younger anointed.

as a result many of these younger anointed ones have had to fight a spiritual uphill battle with their elders and circuit overseers because the watchtower paints them as falsely claiming spiritual union with the christ.. .

the beloved wife: yet, it is from this group of younger anointed that the gb has picked 5 members of the governing body!!

Love is not a big part of the Witnesses, just a big part of the false image they try to project. Loving your brother while not speaking to them is a hollow kind of love don't you agree?

I don't think it is possible to paint all Witnesses with one broad stroke. I have met Witnesses who have done the right thing no matter what the GB said or anyone else for that matter.

THE BIND THE GOV BODY IS IN

here's the bind the gov body is in.......these are just my opinions.. to please the gen public, and to maintain a "righteous look", the gov body has to assure everyone that pedophiles and rapists will be reported to the police.. the problem;.......if they are reported to the police, the media will pick it up.

........and there are so many jw pedophiles, and rape victims, it's not just a few isolated cases.......the victims will then be questioned, and the truth about how bad the situation really is, will come out publicly.... all the details of how the elders knew about it for years and years, but allowed the abuse to continue, will come out in the courtroom.. it will all be documented........ even the gov body's secret instructions to elders will become an issue, and they will be in deep trouble.. their solution;...... keep jw pedophiles, child abuse, and rape cases out of court........at all cost!.....theocratic warfare!!!.

effect on children and rape victims; .....even more so than before, children reporting that a parent is repeatedly molesting them, will be silenced at all cost....elders not going along with this arrangement will be deleted....cold hearted brothers, loyal to the gov body will replace them.. even cases where guilt is proven will be silenced, pushed under the carpet, made out to be no big deal, for fear it ends up in a courtroom.. children will be imiediatly handed back over to the parent molester, and the molester will be instructed to make sure this young child is silenced, before anyone hears about it, and it brings reproach on jehovahs organization.
