yes we saved and loaned and skrimped to build our own hall as we share with 6 other congs amd our area keeps growing bigger.

we even picked out the land....nice, perfect for a hall.

we had 147,000 so....then the advice comes from "above" that bethel advised us not to build since the bookstudy is cancelled our hall can take one more cong????

four years ago when i first came to this site, i was quite actively still proving, and reproving to myself that i did the right thing in leaving my lifelong religion as a jehovah's witness.

some of the key components of my research were found at randy's site, especially the section on 'spiritual food at the proper time', a listing of thousands of watchtower quotations without commentary.

another was the 'quotes' site, and spin-offs of those ideas in a site called 'reexamine'.. i had bookmarked many of those sites.. now, just out of boredom, and with a desire to find a couple of favorite watchtower quotes for use in a future bit of blogging, i find that none of the above are even there anymore.

i mean like the good old fashioned teen dating whereas you could have been hanging out in lover's lane overlooking a very scentic location with your summer lover and maybe hanging out with your friends laughing about whatever.. or maybe hang out in a bonfire listening to some dude hittin' some tunes on his guitar or singing along a song?.

or maybe just get plain lucky (and playing it smart, keep it in your wallet or purse please) in the backseat of a hopefully a hot chevy corvette.. so did you end up wasting it all away in meetings and pioneering?.

What are the Major Issues with Jehovah's Witnesses?

it's safe to say that in most instances, it appears that the catalyst for the final move away from jw's, the real start of a road toward a jw exit, is something that affected you personally, whether that was you or a loved one/family member.

we hit our personal bs level, can't take it anymore,.

then we start to examine the flaws of jw dogma.. i would suggest that most do not start a jw exit because they examine the dogma on a personal study project and find out that something isn't right.

Why are you glad to be out of the BORG?

as i sit here, holding my precious baby girl, i'm grateful that the blood issue and d'ffing will never come between us.

i'm grateful in the way that i can love my baby unconditionally because this cult won't ever come in between us.

a love much bigger then me that i can't even comprehend but that i can simply take in and enjoy because i was lucky enough to be able to escape!.

Has anyone lost a friend or known of someone who committed suicide over BORG-induced guilt?

i am not going to use any names for this because i don't want to cause potential hurt to anyone.. there was a very nice family in my congregation when i was a teenager.

step-dad, mom, and her 4 kids.

the dad became an elder, had a great business, the mom spent lots of time with the kids.

due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

what about the thousands that don't get caught?
