Also if they did not ask all those questions, then it opens the door for baptism annullments.
I did not know that rule existed, now I don't want my baptism to be valid.
" acts 22 : 16. what are you waiting for.........?
the ethiopian eunuch had this attitude when peter preached jesus to him.
he immediately requested and received baptism.
Also if they did not ask all those questions, then it opens the door for baptism annullments.

all i can say is wow.
2000 households have already got these cameras in their houses.
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/08/britain-to-put-cctv-cameras-inside-private-homes/.
Why buy security cameras to protect against theft, the British government will do it for free.
What will the WTS do now about child discipline in Britain. No more spankings? Will JW families in Britain be exempt from camera spying by the government for reglious freedom?
a friend of mine is looking to get a baptism annulment.
this person da a few years ago and certain family member suggested a baptism annulment so that they can have a "normal" relationship.
how does this work?
I remember a Circuit Overseer saying that one can have their baptism annulled if they did not go over the questions and did not want to be a JW.
For example, if you did not go over the questions with the elders and got baptized and found out you needed an operation that the doctor says you need blood. You find out that this is wrong for jws, so now you want your baptism annulled.
Of course most all jw baptisms require going over the questions with the elders so that the above is prevented and it prevents any baptism annulments. After all, it makes the elders feel more important and needed to df individuals. To annul a baptism means that the elders failed in letting the baptism candidate know the rules of the WTS.
i bet a lot of others have, and its strange how so many are powerless to do anything.. one sister i know was married to another jw.
he was unfaithful, she was crushed, he wasn't disfellowshipped, she forgave him, he was cruel, finally she committed adultery to get out of it.
they divorced.
Never experienced a congregation like that. Feel sorry for those that are surrounded by such hateful gossip.
I read many of the WTS publications, such as the Truth book, True Peace and Security, Finished Mystery, Babylon The Great, Live Forever, Knowlege, Family, Daniel, Isaiah, Revelation, Greatest Man, Creator, Mankinds Search. Just like startingovernow stated, many of the publications I read were to prepare for the Book Study.
Except I did enjoy the reading and thought MOST of the information was informative. It helped me understand the Bible better.
But what is in writing and what is practiced can be two different things. What I read in the WTS publications that I enjoyed was not being practiced in the congregation. Especially the elders and circuit overseers failed to follow what the Bible and the WTS publications contained.
how long does it take for someone to recover from that kind of fall?.
A co-worker fell from the roof and landed on his back in the grass. He was an accountant. The doctor told him that he could not sit because of the back damage. He was fortunate that the fall did not hurt his mobility. After a year of therapy he retrained to become a school teacher. He did that for a couple of years then he went back into accounting.
inspired by another thread.. i was baptized at 12 years old.
i had a cousin, two years older than me, who was prettier, more outgoing and more popular in the hall than i was.
i couldn't beat her at any of that stuff, but i figured i could be a better jw than she was.
I was investigating various religions. Nobody in my family were JWs. So I started researching the teachings of JWs. I liked their explanations about hellfire, trinity, and idolatry.
So at 19 years old I got baptized.
wt march 1 2009 page 3. the ancient babylonians, for example, believed that human affairs are influenced by the stars and their movements.. should `are' be `were'?.
.
I agree that the WTS is grammatically correct, even though I am poor at being grammatically correct in my sentences.
Once I thought in an audio reading of the Watchtower on a WTS cassette that the reader pronounced "long-lived" incorrectly. I was so proud that I thought I caught them pronouncing words incorrectly. But after research the word could be pronounced in various ways that I did not know.
pensioner enters jehovah's witness church with machine gunpublished: 31 jul 09 09:13 cet.
an 82-year-old man who entered a meeting of jehovahs witnesses armed with a submachine gun, three magazines, a samurai sword and a knife has been arrested, bielefeld police reported on friday.. some 81 members of the church were gathered in their kingdom hall on dunlopstrae in the citys sennestadt district when a congregation member noticed the masked elderly man enter the vestibule waving the machine gun around 8:45 pm on thursday.. .
the witness quietly informed the congregation and directed them to escape the building via emergency exit, a police statement said.. .
Though the man was driven to this state by the WTS policies, to try and take it out on the ones coming to the meeting is wrong.
Glad that nobody was hurt. Maybe this man can make the news about the reason for his action so that the meda can publish it. Then the world would know what negative effect the WTS can have on one.
that's a quarter percent increase over last year.
partakers this year was 275. i don't know the partakers figure for last year.
these results were in the u k august kingdom ministry.
If the numbers go up, then they praise themselves for the blessing from Jehovah.
If the numbers go down, then they tell the flock to try harder. Need more aux pio and reg pio. Need more RVs and Bible Studies. Need to learn new languages to reach more people.
