  Is there going to be a new NWT or what ?

  i dropped off my wife the other day at the cuircit ass and driving out of the car park i was flagged down by an elder i know.

  he was and still is one of the genuine ones, a real solid guy.

  anyhoo, he tells me to come back as we are so close to the big a and he also tells me that a new bible is gonna be released.

  Rub a Dub, that is very interesting and sounds completely logical. The rumors helped to create anticipation for the DCs. Those poor witnesses who rushed to the DC for a Bible will be disappointed. But your logic sounds like the real deal. Thanks for you wise insight.

  Drinking at meetings / assemblies / conventions ... who's done it?

  last district convention after having 'read up' (took some family to it).. 2).

  last 'meeting' to watch step-father-in-law finally get his and get disfellowshipped for molestation.. ...both were taking vodka shots in the bathroom.. i'm sure there's lots of good stories out there..

  let it rip guys - what type of woman makes you just want to get her know her better - the one that makes you take that risk and walk on over to start a conversation?.

  A woman who likes the same things as me. An intelligent women who can make good decisions. A woman who can carry a conversation but not talk ALL the time. A good looking woman would be icing on the cake.

  ever since mitt romney turned the spotlight on the lds church a growing tsunami of disaffection has been accelerated and brought to a head.. the lds core faithful members are leaving in increasing numbers such that growth has not simply stagnated in the west but it has actively reversed.

  to their credit the church is responding aggressively but not only is it too late, it is an impossible task.

  you can only paint sh*t so many ways.

  Interesting post. I have noticed that the Mormons are actively trying to recruit the Hispanics in my neighborhood. They see the potential of foreigners to replace their losing membership.

  i have been reading post on this forum for many months and i wanted to thank you all for all the great posts and comments that have really helped me get through this hard year of fading.

  my husband and i where born in jdubs and almost 1 year ago we started to fade , now that we think about it has been a few years that we were suffering from cognitive dissonance without knowing it.

  we feel that finally we have our life back , a life that is just starting.

  Welcome to this wonderful forum. Sad to hear about your family shunning you. Now you are treated as bad association in their eyes. Isn't it crazy that if you never was a jw, they would treat you fine. Don't let their treatment get you down. Continue to dwell on the positive aspects of your immediate family and that now you can use your life to benefit them instead donating your time to the WTS.

  Wow is this interesting. It is a wait and see if a passerby has a question or interest, instead of approaching others with the message. This is definitely less annoying to the passerby than being asked if they are interested in something when they are not.

  Yes they and others are sorely missed. But we do have alot of new ones and some long-timers still on this wonderful forum.
