  Brand New: Currently Totally Devastated

  i'm brand new to the board.

  long time, "big shot" elder, ....taught at km school, conventions, etc.

  yeah, i know it means nothing....but it gives you an idea of how deep i've been a jw.. i don't even really know what to write at this point.

  My experience was very similar to yours. If more people knew what went on behind closed doors, they would be shocked.

  When in, I honestly felt some Elders didn't really believe in JG, by the way they talked about and treated others.

  Coming to this site has opened my eyes to all sorts of JW misgivings. Try looking at the 'Search' function on past threads. I found it hard to not stop looking, as EACH day I found some incredible and accurate info on the WT, which will also prove conclusively, they do not have JG HS.

  I'm new and wanted to introduce myself

  hello everyone.. i'm new to this forum.

  i left the organization several months ago, and am on a new path now.

  though i didn't grow up in the organization, i have basically lived a life of pretending to be something i'm not, sheltering my feelings from everyone, and not feeling "enough" to anyone.

  Sorry for the belated Welcome to the board, ...but Welcome!

  I left because of extremely poor treament, with the JW's proving clearly they don't have 'the love amongst themselves' that JC said to look for.

  Since coming here, I've learned that my obsevation was not only correct, but they don't have God's HS and is shown by how little they have correct on Bible understanding, and how wrong they are on predictions. The HS doesn't make mistakes and is always right.

  Enjoy the ride, the road here will be a blast for you to explore.

  hi i dis - assd myself six years ago and only just found this site.. i wished i had found it years ago instead of having to ween off the cult practices i was born into for 35 yrs.. i had a very hard time adjusting and still find some things difficult to come to terms with.. i bumped into a "sister" i had last seen wen i left last week to find out she had left the "cult" as well and is a qualified reiki master and also a hypnotherapist.

  i think it is great she can carry on with her new life despite the ingrained teachings of demons.. i have divorced in the meantime and have done so much in the past six years than i ever did in the 35 years before.

  oh and i am much more conteded, i have no one over my shoulder telling me i am wrong for this or that!

  I was out 13 years when I found this site in Sept. And yes, there is a great search engine to find almost any info you want.

  The Memorial, what is wrong with it.

  ok, my issue with the memorial i have put forth in another thread, but allow me to past them here:.

  the memorial enfoces on them the power of the gb and of the "annointed" class, it is the total opposite of grace.. where god's grace is given free to all, the memorial is withedl from the majority.. god's grace tells us that no matter what we do, god loves us and if we belive, our salvation is in christ's hands.. the memorial is about the opposite, no matter what you have done, you are not worthy to partake on what was free given to all.. only the annointed can partake, the rest are not deserving.. if that is not a slap in the face of god's gift of grace, i don't know what is.. there they sit, all the "un-annointed", their heads hanging low, nomatter how many hourse they put in, how many loved ones they shunned, how many they have lost to the horrifc "no blood policy", they are not deserving to share in what jesus told all his believers to do.. the last supper was our lord's gift to us so that anytime we do it, we remember him.. when we say grace before our meal and we thank jesus for all his has done, for his sacrifice, we are partaking of his blood and body.. but even here the wt ignores jesus's commands and relegates him to the back with the rest.. horrific....

  We are semi-retired, living off investments (so glad we left the JW's 13 years ago)

  We pay our help on the farm, $10/hr for manual chores and our maintenance person $20/hr. Northern Arizona

  but since we became card carrying members of jwn in september, we have an interest in what are friends here on jwn are doing.. for us?

  we will be watching 'dancing with the stars'.
