Have You Ever Heard of an Atheist Being Visited by a Demon?

I wonder how many believers are visited by God? If they talk to God, they pray. If they hear God talking to them, they're crazy. No, I don't know any Atheists that have been visited by gods or demons. Could one would remain an Atheist if visited by either?

and it really used to annoy me that jesus and john the baptist both had such neat and well trimmed beards in the watchtower literature , how unlikley would that be in reality ?

also they never wore a suit so why do "true christians "have to wear one , is all about appearences by any chance and giving a false impression ?

It is stated (as a theory as far as I am concerned, but sounds true) that
Joseph Rutherford decided that the beard was OUT, based highly on the
fact that C.T. Russell had a beard.
OTWO's above comments sums it up fairly well. Russell had a full beard, and many Bible Students wore one, too. After Russell died, Rutherford forced his way into the number one spot, and he let it be known he didn't like beards. I guess anyone looking like Russell made Rutherford feel uncomfortable, and for good reason. Rutherford was not the person Russell picked for the job. I think Russell knew Rutherford was a snake-in-the-grass that was needed as a lawyer, but nothing more.
I'm sure Rutherford knew this but he used legal means to become the second president of the Bible Students. Seeing others that reminded him of Russell became a demon Rutherford didn't like. That was the start of the No Beard Policy, and it's continued from that long-forgotten demon which bugged Rutherford from the very start.
I can't help wondering if Rutherford wasn't able to grow a full beard. That might have played a part in this, too.

my wife was invited by her cousin to come back to the meeting on tuesday since she had not been to one for over a year.

the reason?

"there's going to be a special anouncement regarding blood for all publishers, you should come!!

It looks like the Tower is trying to cover its ass. They know the blood issue is a huge problem that can continue to cost them $$$. They care little about the countless JWs who have died because of following some controlling farts in Brooklyn. Saying they were wrong might cause a few JWs with brain cells to look at the house of cards and open up more lawsuits. So they play this little game as followers die one by one. The media isn't there to report the killings so very little will change.

A young mother we studied with died because she refused a life-giving transfusion. For a fact, she would be alive today, but the Watchtower killed her.

The one I lost because he was not a Witness still hurts the most. It's just one of those "what if" thangs.
This is so true! I dearly loved a girl in my Jr & Sr year of HS, but she was Catholic and I broke it off. I love her to this very day, and that was 42-years ago.
Yes, I still wonder, "what if?"

they were the family of hard working ma and pa with 3 or 4 well scrubbed, decently dressed kids who never missed a meeting.

they arrived in a well used van.

the back was either full of mops, brooms, vacuums, window washing equipment or rakes, shovels and lawnmowers.

Sure, there are countless sheep willing to stick their heads in the sand and let someone else do their thinking. Nothing is ever their fault because their riding in back of the Watchtower bus. Yep, the Snodgrass is in every KH, and you'll find them in most other religions and communities. Good people with their brains turned off.
