There was a knock at the door....
by exwhyzee inor more like a thunking sound really, which set our little dog into a fit of barking.
i crawled out from behind the fridge where i was doing a repair on the waterline for the icemaker, so i could go see what all the commotion was about.
i fugured it was going to be my neighbor returning my ladder but instead it was jw's handing out memorial invites.. the woman and the young man (her 20 something son) were people i had known but hadn't seen since we faded 4+ years ago.

''it's just a freak accident; just tragic circumstances.
he was just a very nice, considerate kind of person,'' he said.. ''they have freezer loads of food donated; flowers.

by Hortensia ina day when you just have to have a taco?
and you have to go home and make it yourself because there is no taco like a home-made taco?
i'm running low on salsa, too, so i went to the market and stocked up on tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, cilantro.

Long Overdue Observation
by earthfire ini just thought this was funny when it popped into my head this morning.
funny because i should have thought of it long ago and i'm sure that i'm not the first to think this.
the big point comes after my little spiel.. so, god tells noah to build an ark because he has a lot of killing of the wicked to do and only noah and his family seem to be good enough.

god works in mysterious ways...
the meat thing is interesting though - i never thought of that...perhaps there were species that survived the great deluge, high on a mountain top somewhere? goats perhaps? and then as time wore on and people over-indulged in goat flesh they began to develop goat-like features....as opposed to sheeplike features. nah....nutz.........
my thing about the noah and ark story is basically - there is most assuredly an ark that fits the description up there in turkey in the ararat region....and folklore of just about every culture has a flood story..........it came from somewhere..something.....

so so amazing how in a time of distress where the attention should be on the dying individual, they have to throw barbs......absollutely so rude and insensitive. and to throw out there that you are a loser because you don't have their support?!?!? how is it that they can assume that you need them?
hang in there, my friend.........

Could this be accurate?
by NeverKnew inis the information on this webpage* regarding the socioeconomic conditions of jws a fair connection to the all too familiar wts quote of 1969?
does the report's statistics appear to be plausible given your personal observations?
*even though many others have copied and pasted the article (including the individual who created the page hyperlinked above), i'm apprehensive about doing so for copyright reasons.

been there - born in....3rd generation. 1950's - oh she'll never go to school in this old world...........1960's oh she'll never graduate from high school in this old world. no need to go to college - why waste time and money on a career that will never happen? ...oh she'll never get married or have kids in this old world....well thanks to them and their perverted minds, i never did reproduce...but did eventually marry. and marry well i may add, because i was looking for someone totally unlike the run of the mill idiot that inhabit kh's. so in my 60's - about to get my degree at last....and thankfully believed in health and life insurance and saving for retirement..............
but - they really absolutely positively did say such things and promote such things.

Window Peepers
by piztjw inso today one of the local elders came around to "check out how you are doing.".
i didn't really feel like putting up with the interrogation, or the false concern so i decided that i didn't "hear" the doorbell.
the guy decided he needed to circle my home and peek in the windows to see if i was home or not.
-
tiki
okay - after "c".....bye bye..................and they come around looking in windows? yeah....if they come around again and try that, call the police. they are way out of line.
