What happens to Bethelites?
by rickroll inso if someone puts their life into serving the cult for free at bethel, then say after 25 or 30 years they are not able to for one reason or another such as illness, or family issue or old age, does the cult have any safety net for these people or is it you serve until you can't and when you can't you just go away?

The downside of being a glorious bethelite. And if there is no loving family the person is really screwed. Likely low to no viable employment skills in the real world....no money or savings to tide one over until they get settled.... I recall many young men who did the back then 4 year stint to come out disillusioned and bitter....

from my perspective.. male adolescents at a very ,very young age , babies , get erections periodically and it has nothing to do with sexual fantasies ,because they don`t even have an awareness of sex between a male and a female at this time.. and it is second inbuilt nature to masturbate to relieve, get rid of the erection .

Funny...wtwiz....ages ago when we still went to conventions I once figured that between hotel, travel, and meals it was costing us at least $800 to $1000.....for that we could have a nice weekend ocean getaway.....so the obvious choice....

January 2020 Watchtower - the anointed
by Listener init's very odd that the jan. 2020 watchtower was nearly 3 weeks later than normal.
another odd thing about this watchtower is that it has two articles (about the anointed) that is very similar to two articles they wrote only four years earlier.the fact that they have even reprinted two articles that are only four years old suggests that they continue to have numerous problems surrounding their teaching's of the anointed and problems with those claiming to be anointed.here are a few of the differences between both the 2016 and 2020 articles -2016 watchtower states.
anointed christians need to be taught by jehovah just like everyone else.. 2020 watchtower statesof course, anointed christians need to be taught by jehovah through the congregation just like everyone else.. four years ago, they acknowledged that it was only jehovah who were teaching the anointed but the newest watchtower now states that it is through the congregation.watchtower 2016 states there will be 144,000 ruling with jesus in heaven.

My understanding was that to pray for disfellowshipped ones was a sin against the holy spirit, as they were dead in gods eyes. In Gehenna as it were....

#Persecution selfies: what do you think?
by Diogenesister inso apparently the new watchtower russia exhibition features a pretend cell for jws to take pretend "persecution selfies' and wallow in the glorious suffering that is essential for watchtower theology to work - yet is strikingly missing from the lives of 99% of witnesses.. in fact most governments go to great lengths to protect the rights of witnesses, spending millions in public funds either directly to watchtower - in the form of grants ( norway, germany etc) - in various types of tax relief, or in the money spent in court cases establishing watchtowers rights and freedoms (& protecting their kids, whether they know it or not).. i'm interested to know how everyone feels about this...particularly terry walstrom and other guys who have spent time in jail in the name of watchtower's freedom of conscience.
personally i think it reeks of desperation by watchtower and is another example of the type of fantasizing that witnesses regularly indulge in.. also....funny how the end is soooo close that they've had time to build a museum of watchtower history!!
anyone else see the irony in that?!

I find the whole thing sickening and disgusting. This holocaust like day dream they perpetuate on their followers is abusive and damaging. Enough of us have been locked in fear and frozen with anxiety over their torture scenarios...and it is no simple thing to overcome. This sort of thing should not exist. It should be stopped, put an end to...not perpetuated.

Beyond physical...inner connection with universal energy...your spirit...the qualities you embrace and express. The love and compassion...your ethics.... Realization that you are human and that there is more than what is tangible. Appreciation that our scope is limited..just a few thoughts on something quite elusive. I do believe love is the key but it gets skewed.
