47Divorcing my husband of 13 years...
by 2pink inmy husband and i were both born ins.
i left in 2009, and he followed me out a bit later.
we were one of those couples who followed the script, married young and ended up having nothing in common other than the religion.

My JW mom is now willing to "listen" to our side...Need advice pls
by 2pink inmy husband and i (both born in jws with extended family all "in" except for one of my sisters who left when we did) left the church 5 years ago.
we did not fade, we just didn't believe it anymore, told our families so and left.
obviously, big drama in our family after this, messy feelings, etc.

by 2pink inmy husband and i (both born in jws--entire extended families all still in excpet for my sister) left the church 5 years ago.
i literally woke up one day and realized it wasn't the "truth".
i did not fade, i just left and told my family i didn't believe it anymore.

by 2pink inmine is next week and this will be the second i've celebrated.
when ppl ask me what i want, i feel awkward....what is an appropriate thing to ask for?
it's all so foreign.

Advice about writing a letter to my relatives
by 2pink inmy husband and i left almost 2 years ago, and were quickly dubbed apostate and didn't refute it...since then we have had zero contact with either of our families (aside from one of my sisters and one of my aunts).
i think it's taken this long for me to come to terms with that...we both came from large families with extended relatives ...all jws.
something that i need to do for me is write a letter...it will be a pretty generic form letter, but anyway i want to draft and send a letter to those that i truly care about.

by 2pink insince you all are a critical thinking bunch...i thought i'd put this question to you.. i'm a born and raised us citizen as is my husband.
ever since we left the borg almost 2 years ago (wow, time flies when you're finally having fun!
), we've paid more attention to politics.

Taking legal action against the JWs for DFing??? Need serious advice
by 2pink ini posted a thread a bit earlier about our impending judicial committee/dfing for celebrating "false religious holidays".
they have seen decor on the outside of our house, so i guess that is their "evidence" that we engage in false religion now!
my husband and i have talked and are serious about taking legal action against the jws if they try to df us against our will.

Got "THE letter" ....how to proceed?
by 2pink inmy husband and i faded/mysteriously disappeared from meetings over a year ago.
we've had a few visits from elders (where we said very little but thanked them for their time), the last one being when we had some nice jack o lanterns sitting on our porch.
on saturday, we got letters cordially inviting us to our beheading, i mean, our judicial committee meeting.

At a loss what to do RE: JW family and my kids
by 2pink ini have 2 small kids, ages 4 and 5 yrs and one on the way (via adoption!).
my husband and i faded/suddenly disappeared last fall, never to go back to meetings.
we outed ourselves and told our super hardcore parents/family members that we didn't believe it anymore, were choosing a different path etc.
