i have known many elders who were much more into the idea of being an elder and getting all the old ladies to tell them what wonderful talks they give and the power then really being a believer.
i had one elder tell me that when he became an elder he was on top dog on top of the heap.
i knew some who were really all about the religion and following the cult.
is the title that makes them feel entitled.
with the title they also loose common sense and replace it with obedience to a manual.
the secret book makes them feel they are part of a secret group.
i remember seeing that book on the table when i was little and when i asked my father what book was it... he took it immediately and said - you can't read it. only elders.
why are taxi firms still operating during a "deadly pandemic?".
i was shopping yesterday and saw taxi after taxi picking people & their shopping up at the supermarket.
none of the drivers or any of the passengers wore masks or gloves, nor did they keep any distance from each other - in or out of the car.. the drivers all helped to load the bags into the boots/trunks of their cars.taxi-drivers must be seriously at risk of catching/spreading covid 19...
its calculated that 250k-500k people will die of flu ww
so far there are 240k coronovirus deaths.. and we are in may.
lets check at the end of the year.. and see which one is deadlier.
but even if only 1000 died a year... it increases the probabalities of death.. because those numbers go on top of the flu and any other diseases.

in the usa no man is over another. everybody is free to travel and to own property. all these "orders" are not lawful. that's why the government can't enforce them.
staying at home in a lockdown is voluntary.
btw corona virus is way deadlier than flu...
and it increases your probabilities to die, even if only 1 person in one million would die of coronavirus

i got an email from a guy i know in the porn industry.

i’m relatively new to this forum but am far from new when it comes to living life as a jw.
i wanted to throw out there my own personal experience and feelings and welcome any conversations (i’m mighty chatty and don’t have much for friends when it comes to jw’s) .
i hit the turning of an era nearly a month ago of legally becoming an adult, raised as a j dub my whole life.
what you are experiencing is what millions of young ones now living are experiencing right now... and millions of us experienced at one time before.....
robots will act like robots... your parents and all JWS are robots.. they don't think... they have a specific set of answers and questions for everything... they will react exactly the same way... all of them..
That gives you an advantage....
you can anticipate what they will think and say for every action or statement you make.
either you learn to live with it... or start planning your escape... but you will do it alone... unless one of the robots close to you is unplugged as well.
Don't lose your cover.
i see a lot of kids that rarely get discipline.
they are allowed to do whatever they want and if someone says something to them they don’t want to hear, they blow them off, ignore them or engage in disrespectful talk.. what’s wrong with today’s parents??
they are producing a generation of entitled brats!.
Today's parent do what their parents taught them to do.
I guess that the kids that don't annoy you are usually the kids that aren't yours :)

making dumb guesses about god's cryptic prophecies makes them foolish and indiscreet- not false prophets who claim god gave them the message.. two questions—.
