  The Motive of the Governing Body

  i have been quiet of late, developing other interests, happy that there are a whole group of people producing great resources.

  however, i found some old emails from ray franz that promoted me to write an article that answers a question i regularly receive.

  it is in regards to the motive of governing body members.

  The only person who can know their real motives... is the person itself. And sometimes not even that. Plenty of time we lie to ourselves and repeat "mantras" to apace our conscience... We delude ourselves.

  I think they are brainwashed... and used their beliefs to excuse their crap.

  We judge their actions from our new point of view. And they judge our actions from their point of view. In both we cases we think each other actions are despicable.... and yet at some point I myself shunned an aunt who was disfellowshipped.. I remember feeling all self-righteous..for i was doing "God's Will"

  If someone is trying to silence you... or someone is trying to stop you from hearing contradicting information.... is time to think... pause and listen.

  This happens over and over.

  Wikipedia... you can smell a discrediting campaign all over.

  i have known many elders who were much more into the idea of being an elder and getting all the old ladies to tell them what wonderful talks they give and the power then really being a believer.

  i had one elder tell me that when he became an elder he was on top dog on top of the heap.

  i knew some who were really all about the religion and following the cult.

  is the title that makes them feel entitled.

  with the title they also loose common sense and replace it with obedience to a manual.

  the secret book makes them feel they are part of a secret group.

  i remember seeing that book on the table when i was little and when i asked my father what book was it... he took it immediately and said - you can't read it. only elders.

  why are taxi firms still operating during a "deadly pandemic?".

  i was shopping yesterday and saw taxi after taxi picking people & their shopping up at the supermarket.

  none of the drivers or any of the passengers wore masks or gloves, nor did they keep any distance from each other - in or out of the car.. the drivers all helped to load the bags into the boots/trunks of their cars.taxi-drivers must be seriously at risk of catching/spreading covid 19...

  its calculated that 250k-500k people will die of flu ww

  so far there are 240k coronovirus deaths.. and we are in may.

  lets check at the end of the year.. and see which one is deadlier.

  but even if only 1000 died a year... it increases the probabalities of death.. because those numbers go on top of the flu and any other diseases.

  in the usa no man is over another. everybody is free to travel and to own property. all these "orders" are not lawful. that's why the government can't enforce them.

  staying at home in a lockdown is voluntary.

  btw corona virus is way deadlier than flu...

  and it increases your probabilities to die, even if only 1 person in one million would die of coronavirus

  i rode my bicycle to the corner gas station / convenience store.i couldn't find my regular mask - so - i improvised.as i walked up to the young lady clerk, her eyes grewwide wide wider and she said:"that's a um very unique face mask you have there, sir.

  "yep, i actually made it from an old pair of purple boxer shorts.

  i got an email from a guy i know in the porn industry.

  his specialty is foot fetish stuff and it turns out two jehovah's witnesses who happen to be cousins stopped by his door.

  he told them he has a foot fetish and asked if they would allow him to video their feet.

  Coping/Living/Understanding

  i’m relatively new to this forum but am far from new when it comes to living life as a jw.

  i wanted to throw out there my own personal experience and feelings and welcome any conversations (i’m mighty chatty and don’t have much for friends when it comes to jw’s) .

  i hit the turning of an era nearly a month ago of legally becoming an adult, raised as a j dub my whole life.

  what you are experiencing is what millions of young ones now living are experiencing right now... and millions of us experienced at one time before.....

  robots will act like robots... your parents and all JWS are robots.. they don't think... they have a specific set of answers and questions for everything... they will react exactly the same way... all of them..

  That gives you an advantage....

  you can anticipate what they will think and say for every action or statement you make.

  either you learn to live with it... or start planning your escape... but you will do it alone... unless one of the robots close to you is unplugged as well.

  Don't lose your cover.

  Kids Without Rules

  i see a lot of kids that rarely get discipline.

  they are allowed to do whatever they want and if someone says something to them they don’t want to hear, they blow them off, ignore them or engage in disrespectful talk.. what’s wrong with today’s parents??

  they are producing a generation of entitled brats!.

  I guess that the kids that don't annoy you are usually the kids that aren't yours :)
