It doesn't look or feel JWish to me. Interestingly, there is nothing on the website to indicate who owns it or where the money goes. I wouldn't be surprised to find out its owned by somebody like the Scientologists.

WT Steam Roll Faith Leaks
by Slidin Fast inwt sued faith leaks for reproducing 74 video items.
faith leaks apparently climbed down.
wt must be up there amongst the most litigious religious organisations in the world.. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/ip-law/jehovahs-witnesses-resolve-copyright-dispute-with-faithleaks.

Somebody at Faith Leaks screwed the pooch. It was a copyright issue, plain and simple. You can't take someone else's intellectual property any more than you can take their car. They should have used snippets to support whatever they were trying to say (fair use). Republishing 74 films was blatant (and stupid).

You know you're really dim-witted when? (You actually think a defeated President can successfully REFUSE to step down)
by Terry inwhen you're easily convinced about a total impossibility.. such as what?.
such as a defeated president actually being able to refuse.
to step down from office.

If the election results are in doubt, the incumbent president should stay in office.
No he shouldn't By law, the term of office ends at noon on January 20, 2021. If the election is still in dispute, the Speaker of the House becomes President. It is not clear if the term of office then expires when the election is no longer in dispute or at noon on January 20, 2025. In my opinion, if we get to this point the election will never be not in dispute.
The other thing that could happen is the state legislatures use their plenary authority under Article 2, section 1B to appoint electors as they see fit; skipping the election entirely.

So take your choice cynical dishonesty or incompetence, it's one of the two.
I don't see why it can't be both.

If they aren't paying a license fee, or have an agreement with the original manufacturer, they're going to be in a world of hurt.

I currently have two alternate history novels I'm selling on Amazon. The first one went on sale in April, the second last month. I'm editing a third one now. Sometime in early 2021 I hope to have another novel based on my experience as a JW published. I have been able to find a publisher through regular channels and Amazon has been a good alternative.
In response to your three points:
1) Good, you won't be disappointed. I've made about half my car payment every month with money from Amazon.
2) You can set up with a pen name
3) Obviously, it takes money to print books. Amazon takes a per book fee based on the size of the book. They send you the rest once a month, starting two months after your first sale.
It's been pretty good to me.
Make sure you sign up to make your book part of the Kindle Lending Library. It pays a little money (about a dollar for my 300 page books) each time somebody reads it from the library. I think I make most of my money that way.
Good luck to you!

Have You Changed Your Viewing Habits Regarding Sports and Entertainment?

A few years ago I got a job that required working Sunday afternoons. No more NFL. I started watching more college ball (I always did watch as much of my Alma Mater as I could). I now like college ball a lot better. I don't like being lectured by a bunch of people who make about 30 times as much as I do about awful their lives are.
When atheletes and celebrities rant about how the 1% are screwing everybody I want to tell them to face the mirror when they're lecturing.

Another suspect JW experience
by neat blue dog inthe latest jwdotorg experience tells of using video conferencing to hold congregation meetings inside jail for prisoners.
it says that the prison director himself and his wife have also started attending the zoom meetings and quotes him as saying.
“these meetings are of great importance for the spiritual and emotional well-being of the prisoners during this period of social isolation.
-
JeffT
I don't buy the prison director participating
1) it's probably a violation of prisoner privacy rights
2) It's a security violation for him
3) He's an f-ing idiot if he puts his wife out where she can be recognized.

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but Google FEMA clergy response team. Would WT. throw the R&F under the bus to save it's own skin
by nowwhat? incorrect me if i'm wrong but about the same time this was activated was when the wt.
came out with the "we may receive instructions that may not seem practical from a human standpoint".
and it has been emphasized greatly regarding covid measures that "we must obey the superior authorities".

I've been hearing about secret govenment camps as long as I can remember. The people to be rounded up keeps changing, the surrounding story stays the same.
First it was going to be communists, then African-Americans, then anti-vietnam protesters, then hippies, then neo-nazis, then the KKK, then Republicans...

How Long Is Forever?
by HiddenPimo inimagine you have a spoon and you dig out one scoop of soil from the ground in central new york.
then you put that soil in a bag and carry it with you as you travel from there to the grand canyon.
you repeat these steps until you have created another grand canyon in new york and filled the original one in arizona.

Psychologists talk about what they call the "I'll be happy when..." syndrome. It's a common problem, "I'll be happy when I get a better job" "I'll be happy when a buy a new car." "I'll be happy when I get married."
One time when we were leaving my wife said the JW view of the new system was the ultimate "I'll be happy when..."
