I have a shotgun. Much more effective for home defense. I'm looking into a concealed carry permit, not hard to get here, and exactly what kind of gun to carry.

Hi Tat..
I'm sorry to hear of your boyfriends loss. LB put it very well. Just be available. Little things will mean a lot at a time like this.
Let your heart speak to yourself, and then to him. Listen when he wants to talk.
I remember you from when you were here earlier. If you want email me at [email protected] or [email protected] The first one is work, the second home.
Please give my condolences to your friend.

Nicolas,
You'd have a point except for that fact that we don't pay people to hijack planeloads of innocent people and fly them into buildings full of more innocent people.
I'm not saying we don't have our problems, but I think this country has more personal freedom than anywhere else in the world.
Gee, I guess we should apologize for trying to help others live free too?

I'm getting tired of reading this drivel.
What bothers me is this question: Didn't you learn anything when you left the Borg? Are your abilities to do independent research and critical thinking still dead? If you want to listen to fairey tales go back to the KH?
There is so much nonsense here I can't take it all on, so I'll just hit one.
Yes the first reports said it was a business jet. That is because people who are not trained observers of aircraft looking from a position that totally lacked perspective thought it was a small plane. That is because it was small IN COMPARISON TO THE BUILDING. Those buildings are big. Each floor was something like an acre. When viewed from the ground this made the plane LOOK small, it doesn't mean it WAS small.
Air crash investigators will tell you that eye witnesses are very unreliable. They will see fire where there wasn't any, or parts falling off when the plane was intact, all kinds of things.

yoyomama's bad day...
by ErnestoW ini am the poster formerly known as yoyomama...i had to use my name since simon keeps deleting any registration with "yoyo" in it.. i mentioned earlier that i've had a horrible day, this is why:.
my wife had a miscarriage over night.
we've been trying to conceive for over a year and we finally made it, but it has ended in a very disappointing way.... i did not think it would affect me as it did, but it did.. thanks billygoat for your interest.. peace to all, i promise no more outbursts (not even if i'm provoked).

YoYO,
I think this is the first time I've every responded to anything you've posted.
IF this is true you have my sympathy.
However, everything you've ever said here quite frankly destroys your credibility with me.
My wife has a favorite saying: OCC. Option, Choice, Consequences.
You've had an option, be a human being, or be a troll.
My experience with you on this board has been that you chose to be a troll.
My statement above is one of the consequences of your choice. That message, coming from many other members of this board would evoke an immediate and sincere messager of sympathy from me.
Two nights ago I got a message that some one that I consider a good friend, even though I've never talked to him except by message board, and e-mail died of the brain cancer I knew he had. The message was posted by his son, some one else well known to the commmunity where the message was posted. Last time I looked the messages of condolences ran to two pages.
You could have this here if you want it.
Think about it.
PS: The fact that you are here and not with your wife also reduces my estimation of you.

A couple of years ago I took my son to a Godsmack concert. I think my hearing has recovered.
I'll have to tell him about the significance of this. We left so long ago he won't know anything about the magazine. His band sounds a little like Godsmack.

his profit?Teaching Math in 1970: A logger exchanges a set "L" of lumber for a
set "M" of money. The cardinality of set "M" is 100. Each element
is worth one dollar. Make 100 dots representing the elements of the set
"M." The set "C", the cost of production contains 20 fewer points
than set "M." Represent the set "C" as a subset of set "M" and answer
the following question: What is the cardinality of the set "P" of
profits?Teaching Math in 1980: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for

1 Timothy 2:5,6: Maybe the Greatest JW Travesty
by Room 215 inwith the pre-memorial drums beating through dubland, it brings to my mind how the jw insistence on a literal reading of the 144,000 in revelation 7 and 14 has poisoned their entire outlook of the new testament and the teachings of christ.. although they're the most aggressive proselytizers of christendom, it's no wonder they've cooked up a host of specious rationalizations to demur on invitations to participate in public debates: they must know that their position on this bedrock teaching of christianity, i.e.
that jesus died and was raised for all and in his position of hevenly glory, intercedes on their behalf.
there's no question that any attempt by jws to defend their ludicrous teaching in a public forum would subject them to embarassment and well-deserved ridicule, and expose their cultishess.. and this is but the tip of the proverbial iceberg: look what the literal 144,000 does to eviscerate the power of jesus illustration of the sheep and the goats; it compels jws to equivocate on other crystal clear christian concepts, i.e the sonship of god and leading of the holy spirit.

The article BluesBrother quotes reveals a fundamental flaw in the way the WT interprets the Bible. That start with what they think they know (there are two hopes for godly people)then twist scripture until it fits the preconceived notion.
This isn't the only example of where they've done this.

This is the issue that drove my wife totally and completely away from the WT. She had been raised as a Christian and simply could not accept a teaching that Jesus did not die for her.
I think that the big implication here is that this means that the R&F are followers of MEN, and are looking to MEN for salvation. That is essentially what is said in the two articles on this subject in the 1979 Watchtower. Non annointed derive their salvation from subjecting themselves to the organization.
