  Do You Support Police and Law Enforcement?

  recently black lives matter representatives have encouraged people to spit in law enforcement officials foods.

  some people are going into police stations and trying to kill innocent officers.

  federal officials are marked for death because they try to administer the law.. what is your opinion of this type of lawlessness?.

  There was a show that was dramitic recreations of actual incidents, I can't find it right now.

  One of these days some cops somewhere are going to decide to just stop working for a couple of days so that everybody will appreciate what they do. I wouldn't blame them at all. Restaurant workers who spit in the food should be charged with assault. If the customer is a cop that would be assaulting an officer.

  I want to try something new, any ideas?

  normally when jws come to my door, i very quickly tell them i'm not interested in the jws.

  and for about a year or so they don't come until that time passes.

  well, they came by today, but this time i decided to not tell them to go away but had a nice conversation with the two that were at my door.

  I've stumped them a couple of times with a question: How can they be Christians if there offical doctrine teaches that Jesus is not their mediator? Every time their response is "Of course we teach that Jesus is our mediator," to which I say "When did that change?" They will it hasn't and I refer them to the 1979 and 1989 Watchtower articles and invite them to come back after they look that up.

  None of them ever come back, I hope that I gave them something to think about.

  because he voiced his opinion on roger stone’s recommended sentencing as being grossly unfair, the democrats are talking about impeachment.. do they really think that impeaching him will mean that a democrat will get into the white house??.

  My kids are watching Atheist Content on Youtube!

  How old are the children? If they are young you could watch with them and talk about the parts you disagree with (note I said talk WITH them, not at them). If they're teenagers, the fastest way to get them to watch more is to forbid it. If they're over 18 why are you telling them what they can watch, and more importantly why are they listening to you?

  Probably meaningless. The bank account is in Aruba (or that is the bank's HQ) and the entities are in Aruba and Barbados. Unless the WTBS is flying in boxes of cash it's a couple of local accounts for local entities.

  I did poorly at math in grade school. My first run at college I majored in English because I knew I couldn't cut it in the STEM classes. Nine years after I graduated college I went back to study something that people would pay me to do. A year later I had a certificate in business managment with an emphasis in accounting. I spent the next tweny-six years of my life doing Algebra every day. Somewhere along the line I got good at it. I suspect that most people on this thread actually use algebra at lot more than they think.
  

  Our college finance system (at least here in the US) is more f****D up that our medical insurance. It's a device for turning the future income of students into the current income of college profs and staff. The loan program makes no distinction between majoring in brain surgery and Lithuanian Art History. So we send people into the world with no job skills and $100k in debt and wonder why they are struggling.

  Special meeting next month (February 2020)

  it was announced today that we will have a special weekend meeting next month.

  it will be 3 hours long and will include some streamed content.. no explanation was given as to what the meeting will be about, only that it will be exciting and we will not want to miss it..

  I've thought that if anything kills off mankind, it's be microscopic beasts.

  If Trump is judged Guilty, people will start dropping like flies and Trump will declare himself President for Life

  The second senator number 67 votes guilty, he's not President anymore. Mike Pence will be sworn in immediately.

  The Chinese are building a new hospital to treat ill people in the affected region and it will be ready within weeks—Wow 😮

  I heard it will be ready next week. I don't think it will be a hospital the way we think of one. Think "MASH" instead.

  I don't trust news outlets, but I trust the Chinese less. The fact that they are quarantining major cities is at odds with their public numbers of the people sick and dead. I believe the problem is much greater than they are letting on.

  cottage grove, minn. (ap) — a struggling minnesota church is asking its older parishioners to leave in hopes of making it more attractive to young families.. .

  grove united methodist church in the st. paul suburb of cottage grove is closing in june, with plans to relaunch in november.

  the present members, most of them over 60 years old, will be invited to worship elsewhere, the st. paul pioneer press reported.

  If that's their plan, its a plan for committing institutional suicide. You don't grow your business by dumping on your most loyal customers. I suspect that church is going to go under. I don't expect to see the end of the Watchtower, but its going to shrink a lot in the next few years.
