i search the news channels and i thought for sure that the o'reilly factor would cover it, nil.

I don't understand why the Media would jump all over the Catholics, but not the Witnesses?

Doesn't make sense to me at all.

I know there are A LOT more Catholics in the world than Witnesses, but still.

i'm new to this site and not a jw but i love and care about someone who is a silent lamb (though today, thursday that is, she proved with several others, that she's not gonna be silent anymore.

and i bet you sounded good too kelley!

i spoke to this special lady after the march and she thought it would be good to have video footage of the march.

The Watchtower vs. The Bible

here is a list of contradictions between what the watchtower society says and what the bible says:.

the watchtower says that judas iscariot left the lord's evening meal (memorial) before jesus instituted the new covenant and passed the wine and bread.. what does the bible say?:.

luke 22:13: they went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the passover.

Here are some more Contradictions between the Watchtower and the Bible:

Every Bible out there says pretty much the same at Colossians 1:15-20:

Colossians 1:15: who is the Image of the Invisible God, the First-Born of all creation.
Colossians 1:16: For all things were created in Him, the things in the Heavens, and the things on the Earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Colossians 1:17: And He is before all things, and all things have subsisted in Him.
Colossians 1:18: And He is the Head of the Body, the Assembly, who is the Beginning, the First-Born out of the dead, that He be preeminent in all things;
Colossians 1:19: because all the Fullness was pleased to dwell in Him,
Colossians 1:20: and through Him making peace by the blood of His Cross, to reconcile all things to Himself; through Him, whether the things on the Earth, or the things in the Heavens.

However, the New World Translation (NWT) has added a few things to CORRUPT and CHANGE to BIBLE:

Colossians 1:15: who is the Image of the Invisible God, the First-Born of all creation.
Colossians 1:16: For all [other] things were created in Him, the things in the Heavens, and the things on the Earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all [other] things have been created through Him and for Him.
Colossians 1:17: And He is before all things, and all things have subsisted in Him.
Colossians 1:18: And He is the Head of the Body, the Assembly, who is the Beginning, the First-Born out of the dead, that He be preeminent in all things;
Colossians 1:19: because all the Fullness was pleased to dwell in Him,
Colossians 1:20: and through Him making peace by the blood of His Cross, to reconcile all [other] things to Himself; through Him, whether the things on the Earth, or the things in the Heavens.

They obviously added those "[other]" words to make it appear that Jesus Christ was also CREATED!

Look what the Watchtower Society is guilty of doing:

Revelation 22:18: For I testify together with everyone hearing the Words of the Prophecy of this Book, if anyone adds to these things, God will add upon him the plagues having been written in this Book.
Revelation 22:19: And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this Prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Life, and out of the Holy City, and of the things having been written in this Book.

Deuteronomy 4:2: You shall not add to the Word which I command you, nor take from it, to keep the Commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you.

Proverbs 30:6: Do not add to His Words, that He not reprove you, and you be found a liar.

Nation of Pedophiles

i did some research on what the marriageable age was for girls in ancient, biblical israel.

it turns out it was around the age 12 or 13, although an old man could reserve them from a much younger age, by having them betrothed to him.

twelve or 13 was the age puberty started for them.

These are all good questions and ideas being brought up, and I am definitely going to do more research into this, and I'll let you know what I find out soon.

former jw..new on the board and glad to see it so active.

the latest round of "new light" in the recent km has reversed the rules and once again my family has been told to shun me.

i da'd in my early 20's after being very active since childhood and have been out of the "borg" now for nearly 18 years.. i look forward to reading and posting as i get more familiar with the names here.. rgw.
