Do You Believe Any of "The Truth"?

i've been lurking for several months, its my first post here.

i am currently an active jw.

i have a very jw family so i have to be careful.

Here are the things I believe in, which the Watchtower Society also taught:

That the Bible is the Word of God (How many "Christian" Religions do not teach this?).

That we should follow Jesus Christ.

That we should worship God.

That we should pray to God.

That we should love one another and love God.

My question is, what Religion that claims to be "Christian" does not at least SAY that you should do these things?

But, Jesus Christ said that you will know HIS FOLLOWERS by their FRUITS (their conduct).

He said that HIS FOLLOWERS would have TRUE LOVE among themselves, so strong that they would die for their Brothers and Sisters.

I do not see this love in the Jehovah's Witnesses. The Jehovah's Witnesses' "love" is completely conditional -- if you leave the Religion, or get Disfellowshipped, their "love" immediately STOPS, and the SATANIC HATE and the SHUNNING begin.

I believe that the Jehovah's Witnesses are today's version of the Pharisees -- extreme hypocrites.

There are a lot of good people who are tricked into believing that you can only know God through the Governing Body.

However, I think most of the good people will leave soon, once the News starts spreading around the world about their Pedophile-Protection Policy, and their Rape Policy (requiring women to SCREAM and fight off the rapist, even if the rapist has a Gun or knife), and their horribly confusing and UN-Biblical Blood Policy (allowing some Blood Parts, but not others), and their Secret 10-Year Affair with the United Nations.

Jesus Christ said that HE ALONE was the ONLY WAY to the Father, where did He mention the Governing Body?

Jesus Christ said that HE ALONE was THE TRUTH.

The Bible says we are to follow GOD ONLY, and NOT MEN!

i did some research on what the marriageable age was for girls in ancient, biblical israel.

it turns out it was around the age 12 or 13, although an old man could reserve them from a much younger age, by having them betrothed to him.

twelve or 13 was the age puberty started for them.

I haven't ever really researched or studied about how young the Jewish women (or girls) were when they got married.

I will definitely do some research on this.

I do want to clarify though, that INCEST and RAPE were definitely against the Jews' Law.

I'm not a JW, but i've got some questions.

i'm not a jehovahs witness...i dont know what i am.

when i was younger and my parents were divorced, i celibrated different religions with each family, attending many differnet churches, from methodist, to catholic, to christian and so on.

as a result, i was unable to seperate the beliefs of each religion and not really understand what i believed in and where i belonged.

Here are the references for the following Armageddon Prediction Dates:

1984 -- Because the Watchtower Society at one time said that "A Generation" lasts 70 years, and 1914 + 70 years is 1984

1994 -- Because the Watchtower Society at one time said that "A Generation" lasts 80 years, and 1914 + 80 years is 1994

2000 -- Below is a Quote about this one.

The Watchtower January 1st 1989 Issue, Page 12:

"The apostle Paul was spearheading the Christian missionary activity. He was also laying a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century,".

HOWEVER, in the Bound Volume Reprint, they CHANGED IT TO SAY:

"...a work that would be completed in our day,"

They did not even include a Footnote to mention that they changed it either.

But first, here are some more QUESTIONS:

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SUPERIOR AUTHORITIES:

1: In the May 1st 1996 Watchtower Article, is it true that the Society said that their incorrect understanding of the Superior Authorities (as being Jehovah and Jesus instead of the Governments) of Romans Chapter 13, HELPED the Jehovahs Witnesses, and that then later Jehovah also gave them the correct understanding, and then that HELPED the Jehovahs Witnesses? Why would having a FALSE UNDERSTANDING of the Superior Authorities HELP anyone?

2: Is it also true that in that same Article, it said that Russell originally had the correct understanding of the Superior Authorities and then later the Society got the false understanding, and then even later the Society got the correct understanding again?

3: Is it true that in that Article, it also says that the Society finally got the correct understanding (again) when they Translated the New World Translation of the Bible around 1962, by looking at the meanings of the Greek Words?

4: However, isnt that wrong, because didnt the Society first Translate the New World Translation of the Christian-Greek Scriptures in 1950, not 1962? (The All Scriptures Inspired Book says that it was in 1950!)

QUESTIONS ABOUT FREEMASONS AND OTHER GROUPS:

1: What is the Watchtower Societys Official Stance on Freemasonry, Shriners, Elk Lodges, Moose Lodges, etc.?

2: Why did Charles Taze Russell use several Masonic Symbols and Code Words in his Publications and Talks?

3: Is it true that, for the first several decades, the Society held most of their Conventions and Assemblies at Masonic Halls and Lodges?

4: If so, why would the Masons, who HATE Jesus Christ, allow The Only True Followers of Jesus Christ to use Masonic Halls and Lodges for Conventions and Assemblies?

5: Was Charles Taze Russell ever a Freemason?

6: Why has the Society only published like 2 Articles on Freemasonry (one of the largest, most secret, most evil Organizations in the world) in the last 130 years?

7: Are Jehovahs Witnesses allowed to join the Freemasons, Shriners, Elk Lodges, Moose Lodges, etc.?

8: Did Charles Taze Russell believe that the Satanic Pyramids of Egypt were Jehovah Gods Stone-Witness to give out EXTRA information other than what the Bible contained?

9: Did Russell measure certain parts of the Pyramids to arrive at the 1914 Year as being important for Prophecies?

10: Did Joseph Rutherford, after Russell died, publish Articles saying that anyone who believes in the Egyptian Pyramids is following Satan?

11: What is the Order of Special Full-Time Servants which is only mentioned once each year by the Watchtower Society inside the Annual Year Books?

12: How is one initiated into this Order?

13: Are there any Vows or Oaths one has to make to become a Member of this Order?

14: What are the requirements of the Members of this Order?

15: Who are the Members of this Order?

16: How many Members does this Order have?

17: Wouldnt this Order be a Sect according to the Bible?

18: Wouldnt this Order be a Division according to the Bible?

19: What is the purpose of this Order?

20: Why is called an Order? Freemason Groups are called Orders, such as The Order of the Shrine, and so on.

21: Is it true that Russell once stated that Jesus Christ is the GRAND MASTER OF THE FREEMASONS and that the Apostle Paul was also a MASON?

I just wanted to say that I also really like the King James Version (it does have quite a few words I didn't know, so I had to look them up, but it was kind of fun checking out new words).

However, there are other Bibles I really like too.

I also wanted to explain more about what the Jehovah's Witnesses believe about Jesus Christ:

In their Publications, they do occasionally call Him "Lord" and also "a god".

However, since they believe Jesus is Michael the Archangel, is that going to save any of them?

Let's put it another way, if I were to believe that you were Jesus Christ, and that you had died for me, would that save me?

Of course not, because I would be believing in a FALSE CHRIST, and rejecting the TRUE CHRIST who actually did die for me.

That is the same thing the JW's do, because they are putting their faith in an ANGEL who they claim died for them.

Plus, the Governing Body REPLACES Jesus Christ for the "Other Sheep".
