  Ok this gets weirder. He rants about no college then interviews brother Brumley who was sent by the watchtower to law school.

  Has anyone ever gotten disfellowshipped for going to University?

  jehovah's witnesses claim no one is disfellowshipped for pursuing higher education.

  somehow it seems there must be some halfwit sorry excuse for an elder somewhere who personally felt threatened by over educated young whippersnappers and decided to mark every nerd he could point his sweaty little finger with.

  this is going around the kingdom halls now, i thought it was a hoax but are not all the end time dates produced by the organization some hoax or con?

  the reason why the end did not come in 1975 was the watchtower society had not put eve's creation in their equation.

  i was told when we had a "meet and greet" if "we knew the date of eve's creation we would know the year jehovah was going to destroy the earth.. it's been 40 years since 1975, can you believe it's been 40 years since "stay alive till 1975!"?

  i have been wanting to introduce myself but i don't know where to begin.

  my husband and i are enjoying our third guilt-free weekend of our lives (both born-in, almost 30).

  he has been out mentally for the last year and a half but patiently waited for me to come around.

  apparently the very cool thing to do now is when you go to bethel you go and have your picture taken in the studio!

  my uber elder cousin and his wife just did that back in ny.

  it's probably not for everyone, my cousin's daughter and son in law are very "high up" in the org in "finance" and that's how they probably got to do it.

  It makes people like your cousin feel special, warm and fuzzy inside and perhaps a little better than the average jw who has never visited bethel.

  It is a smart marketing move on the part of headquarters to allow a select few to have the "privilege" of entering the sacred studio. It makes the rest of the drones try harder.

  so, i'm visiting family this week who are all jws.

  yesterday, it started with one of them talking about a co giving her some points on time keeping for service.

  she is now writing a letter before she drives to service, so she can count her drive time.

  When I was a pioneer I used to stress about time. I had to. Thats what it is all about. Putting in time.

  When I go on service with pioneers it is a joke. It is easy to tell they are trying to count the maximum hours while doing the minimum amount of preaching.

  one year after that, they took the life savings of the elderly couple and parked it in an account, without their knowledge.

  when the old couple found out what happened, the four co-conspirators refused to return anything.

  Fraud happens in the Jws more than we think. It is just dealt with by the elders and anyone who wants to go public with it is threatened with removal of privileges or dfing.

  Lets face it, Jws are gullible and there are predators within the fold. I know of 3 cases of fraud that were never taken to the authorities. If I know of three there are many many more.

  What are these people thinking ? They might be thinking you are not serious about calling in the Mounties.
