  i'm beginning to have some doubts about my doubts.

  this subject is one of them.. many argue that it is unfair, unloving, and unjust for god to destroy 99.9% of all mankind at armageddon.

  but didn't this happen before in the days of noah?

  If this is what really happened, who are we to judge God's rightfulness to make these decisions.

  So it's OK to rape a woman because you're bigger and stronger? Might makes right is the argument you are making. Supposedly we are rational beings created with free will yet, when we make any other choice than what god wants us to make, well, that free will is gonna cost you your existence. And remember, it could be for something as arbitrary as trimming your beard!

  If he created us, doesn't that give him the right to say what he expects from us if we are to continue living?

  So a parent should be able to kill their child for arbitrary disobedience? Really? I mean, after all, they created the child and fed and clothed and taught it.

  If we rebel, how is that any different than what Satan did?

  Rebellion? Actually, can you show me in the bible where is said satan rebelled and tried to take god's power?

  And simply saying "No thanks, I prefer to live my life my own way." is not a rebellion

  i've never been one to believe in " ghosts " .

  i'm open to the possibility that there may exist something in the afterlife or spirit world- i just don't know what it is.

  having been out of the witnesses over 6 years i had my fill of being a jehovah's witness and being told how " scared " i should be of satan or the demons.

  I always thought volts went across something and amps through? :)

  Bingo. Most people have been hit with 1000 volts or more, like a static shock from dragging your feet across the carpet. Volt's don't kill, amps kill.

  When I was young and thin, I remember being smug and offering advice on diet and exercise to an overweight woman. She said that she couldn't do it. I didn't understand what she meant. Now, I have to eat my words.

  No. The geological, fossil and historical records disagree with there ever having been a flood.

  Secondly....let's try that "It happened before so it's OK this time" argument on something else...."It's not cool for you to rape this little boy." "Oh, no problem, I already did it before." "Oh, well, carry on, then."

  As far as the infallible part goes...sorry, you're just an apologist stacking the deck in your favor. But, what the heck, let's play that game.

  Why IS it OK for god to kill everyone? Because he is god? God was the one that hurt Job, not Satan. At least, not the first time around. God was the one that offered Job to Satan. God is the one that either gave man free-will and then killed them all for using it or he created them pre-destined to go that route. Either way, God is a douche that needs to be in an insane asylum.

  Generation & "Even when you don't understand/feel uncomfortable with it..."

  i had been getting my hope up that this new generation teaching wouldn't make sense and cause my jw friends and family to wake up.i even asked my mom to explain the new generation teaching, but she didn't even know what i meant!

  slept through that meetin'?

  anyway, i had to tell her the march 15 wt, (which i studied thanks to the comments provided here on this wonderful board!

  My mom didnt know about the new teaching either. She said she didnt care didnt believe the last couple anyway. Shes just happy they dont teach the trinity.

  I'm one of those people that has a dead on intuition for electrical problems. You can't always know when you're wrong, but man, when you get it right, it's like 120 volts shooting through you.

  I've been hit with almost 20000 volts :)

  Yeah, I kinda figured name-calling was about the best you could do.

  Anyone who makes fun of people and belittles them for exploring and believing in ghosts sound just like JW's saying that the only good worldly person is a dead one.

  That's not accurate analogy at all.

  i hate to exercise, therefore i haven't really ever done it, and stuck with it.

  i've had 6 children, and am quite sedentary.

  i get really bad migraines when my blood pressure rises, hence hating excercise.. .

  Whilst nearly everyone has tried to be as helpful as they know, you notverylikly just label everyone fat & idle.

  I guess you didn't read everything I wrote, then.

  I do hope you find a way to be a little more tollerant of other people`s situations.

  I am very helpful when people have legitimate problems. Why would you assume I am not?
