  well, folks, this little mermaid just got back from the sad she had to attend w/her husband so as to keep a measure of peace (we're in the process of working out compromises...you know how it goes) i was pretty mad by the end of the day (thank god it ended at 4:00) mostly because i learned some new things that i would never have guessed in a million years.. did you know that satan is setting up artificial "refuges" as a counterfeit to jehovah's "true refuge"which is...his organization???

  now satan's "false refuges" are pretty damn bad, like, for instance, "independent thinking.

  What Did You Expect to Do During the 1,000 Years?

  for those who were jws, what did you expect to do during the 1,000 year reign?.

  since only loyal jws would survive armageddon, it seemed to me that field service and tms would be eliminated.. so what did you expect to do with your time, besides getting rid of the dead bodies and petting lions?.

  does it bother any jw apologists or lurking jws that charles russell, joseph rutherford, and the watchtower board members who backed them would all be disfellowshipped today for teaching what those men taught as truth?.

  does it bother any of you that you would be disfellowshipped today for believing what their followers would have been disfellowshipped for not believing?.

  so today was my first sunday meeting that i didn't go with my wife.

  as an update she has decided not to move out right now...because she doesn't have anywhere to go.

  i suggest the following.

  i believe that the children that were killed in warfare by the israelites were taken to heaven with god.

  Brotherdan - Once I awakened from the JW mind control cult, I then understood how strong belief has NOTHING to do with whether or not something is true. I believed the JW doctrine completely, and thought that everything they said was true. I carried a card in my wallet that said "let me die" to the doctors, if I needed a blood transfusion. That's how strongly I believed it. Then when my eyes opened, I realized how a fantasy can seem like reality.

  I then quickly realized that there are 1.5 BILLION muslims who KNOW that Allah is in the sky. They know this...definitely...just as strongly as I knew JW was the truth. They are willing to die for it. But these feelings have nothing to do with whether or not any of it is true.

  Once I made these connections, I quickly understood that I believed somebody lives in the sky and loves me because my parents taught me that and because most people around me believe that. Especially in my area, as I live in the Southern United STates.

  I found myself much happier when I took all the emotions and beliefs out of it and started looking at facts. Life makes so much more sense now.

  Just my personal thoughts. LeavingWT is my brother, by the way.

  I plan on sleeping through the thousand years....very cozy and peacefully....under a nice tombstone.

  the january wt has some good stuff in it.

  the basic message is that armageddon is just about to come, god will kill people, and jws will be spared because they use gods name (of all things!

  he is really picky about that name!).

  EVERY belief in JW hinges on Armageddon:

  Go to ALL the meetings - if you don't, you may die at Armageddon

  Don't slow down in service - if you do, you may go astray and die at Armageddon

  Don't associate with wordly people - if you do, you will become like them and die at armageddon

  Beware of the internet - so many things on there will get you destroyed at armageddon

  Watch out for facebook, there are worldy people on there and you may get in with them and die at armageddon

  You should be pioneering, because if you can do it, but you don't, you aren't serving whole souled and you will die at armageddon.

  I think there's like 23,000 other ones too....
