But, year after year, I am impressed with British news reporting. When NO US NEWS SOURCE would discuss President Clinton having his pants down around his ankles, British newspapers did.
Sorry still trying to get this quote thing down...
externally, we get a certain 'impression' of what living in england is like.
every third baby boy is named mohammed.
people who engage in self defense are imprisoned while criminals are given a 'firm talking to' and have their hands slapped.

Is this WACK JOB for real...what have I been missing...
when you were a witness, were you happy or miserable?.
i feel like i was pretty happy for over 20 of the 25 years.
only the last 5 years and especially the last 1-2 years did i really burn out and just wasn't that into it.
28 years as a JW I can not remember one happy moment...28 years of constant fear, "Am I pleasing Jehovah today?" and just when I thought I wouldn't be destroyed at the big A a Convention would come around and remind me how much I wasn't doing enough to please Jehovah...
i dreaded it!
i've seen brothers freeze-up doing prayers with long uncomfortable silences to think of what to say.
sometimes my mind would just go blank and i would panic at the thought if i paused.
When a brother was called to say prayer I could almost recite word for word exactly what he was going to say...Never being a MS or Elder never had the problem...

what is to be gained, a new nonbeliever...i have never understood it.
Hey Freydo I actually have over 2000 posts on this board since 2005 my original account "zeroday" was frozen out for over a year and I had to create a new one to get back on the forum...

in her radio show, dr laura schlesinger said that, as an observant orthodox jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance.
the following response is an open letter to dr. laura, penned by a us resident, which was posted on the internet.
it's funny, as well as informative:.
Laura Schlesinger is the biggest A** on radio...
