You should visit more churches. They are all different, with Bibles open on different pages. Maybe then your experience will lose whatever significance you have given it.

a set of 10 of his own books would eventually be sold for about $ 2.50 (about twenty five dollars in today's money).. the colporteur work under russell was not too dissimilar to fuller brush salesmen or vacuum cleaner sales.
rutherford would prove to be as prolific a writer as russell and kept the pressess churning out his angry screeds which attacked roman catholics, jews (big business), government and imagined conspiracies with the devil.

It's a buyer's market so you can't go wrong whatever you buy. The cheapest Canon camera should be able to record movies with sound, fits in your pocket, and with recharchable batteries costs nothing to run and takes excellent photos.

generation teaching reconsidered
by inbetween inwas thinking about this new generation teaching, and to some extend it makes sense, let me explain.. first of all, i personally believe, it only applied to jesus time, it only made sense there, and when jesus talked about it, in the year 33, this generation certainly observed the events leading to jerusalems destruction 70 ce.
( even though the context does not really give much hint, since he talks about the sign of the son of man being seen in heaven etc, something that did not happen in the first century).
the main question is, what is a generation ?.

One of the strengths of the Witnesses in the past was that they could 'prove' everything they taught by using scriptures from the Bible. With this 'Nu-lite' of contemperaries of the annointed they are grasping at straws. How could you explain that to a bible study? I have just been reading the April 15 Watchtower, and it is pure comedy.

Anyone who is Generation X, or older realizes that this religion is a complete crock of shite. The "generation that would by no means pass away" has passed away. That's it. You can't change something as fundemental as that, and still have any credibility or integrity left. End of story.

ok I have a question for anyone who can answer me about this......
by queenbella ini divorced my husband for cheating on me that is why i left him.
i came home from visiting family two days early and found him in bed with someone else.
i left him but he blamed me for everything and then when i thought i could go back to the kingdom hall they told me that they called my husband and he said he didnt do anything.

Warlock and Judge Dread..............
by Judge Dread injust to let you know.. i was kicked off this board as warlock.. over the period of being off the board, i sent simon an apology and asked him to re-instate my account and i would apologize to the board for my offensive behavior on the thread that got me booted out of jwn.. actually, i sent about 3 e-mails to him, but he never responded.. i needed to get back here, so i set up this new account as judge dread, but i never really liked doing it.. basically, what i am telling you all is: to whoever i have offended under either name, i am sorry.. i just needed to clear this up, as i will no longer be posting here.. people here come and go, and we often wonder what happened.. well, i won't say what happened, but at least i got to say goodbye.. warlock .

i was able to better understand myself and those around me.
i didn't read the final portion of his book on religion, as i quickly lost interest.. however, just today, i read an interview with dr. peck from a few years ago.
