I was wondering how many out there have written the society and got a responce. Im thinking of writing but I dont wanna waste my time if they wont take me seriously. I intend to challenge many different things they say and do. Dont know how to go about it.

I got turned down for a bible study!
by frigginconfused ina freind of mine went online and requested a bible study.
they showed up while she was gone and i talked to them.
i told them they could come over to talk to me and we could try to find my place in the org.

If God wanted me to start up with them again I would have a study. So Im off the hook. lol.
But the whole reason I posted this is I have never heard of them turning down a bible study ever! I feel pretty good about that.

A freind of mine went online and requested a bible study. They showed up while she was gone and I talked to them. I told them they could come over to talk to me and we could try to find my place in the org. I explained I was raised a JW and believed in God, Jesus, and the bible. I also explained how I dont agree that the GB are the faithfull slave. And most of my problems arent what they teach but how they run the org.
They asked me for an example of something they teach that I dont agree with.
I picked something I knew was a valid point so they couldnt dance around it.
The point I made to them was about teaching Jesus died on a stake not a cross. My point was "when in doubt. Dont do it". Ive heard that many times in the org and decided to use it against them. I made a very good argument or the problems involved in a beat up Jesus carrying a telephone pole up a hill. How difficult it would be to nail him to a stake and then set it in a post hole without it coming loose. How lazy soldiers are. It makes more sense to have to pole permanantley in the ground and have him carry a cross member up the hill. Use rigging to hoist him up it after nailing him to it. And therefore I agreed that it was a stake. But once the crossmember was hoisted up it became a cross. This agrees with the bible. Is more mechanically feasable.
After having made the point I explained that either way is possible. But to teach that it was not possible and to deny devout christians a symbol they have known thier whole life would do more to turn them off to any further openess. It would be better to not touch on the subject at all. Have no standing on it. Because in the end the shape of the torture stake means nothing. Its the sacrifice thats the point and we should not distract from that. Also just as worshiping the cross is idolatry, putting so much emphasis on it being a pole is also the same thing.
So the point was made. I left them dumfounded. They made a date next week to come talk again.
I got a call today. He cancelled! lol. He says we have no common ground and no where to go from there.

PS. I was kind, soft spoken, and emphasised I make my choiced based on logic tempered with love. I was in no way combative or hostile. so thats not what turned them off.

All religions have truth. Some more than others. Why would a person follow something blatently false?
The problem is people cling to the first thing that moves their hearts and close their minds to truth. Especially the JW's. Try to talk to them about the truths in buddism. I feel without some of the things buddah said, a person can never get to know his true self. Or try to explain the many health benifits of yoga to a JW. You would think you were asking them to sacrifice babies to satan. lol.
Jesus said seek and you shall find. And the truth will set you free.
Seek truth everywhere. Never close your mind. Always be open to new ways of thinking. This is the nature of our relationship with God. Be prepared for endless waves of transformation.

If Armageddon came tomorrow, would Jehovah kill a billion children?
by just n from bethel ini just looked up some population statistics.
i saw there are over a billion children under the age of 10 on the earth today.
(didn't research too hard - just googled it.

Babies in utero arent born yet. Cant count a chicken before its hatched. Holy spirit cleanses that fetus if the mother makes it . Born in a baptism of water.

Its a matter of time. If you could go back in time and kill baby Hitler would you? Did Satan try to kill baby Moses and baby Jesus?
All humans old and young that should die will.
To you a baby is an innocent being because you cant see far enough forward to tell who they will become.
There has to be a cut off date to have armagedon. There will be babies alive during that.
What about a good baby with bad parents?
We are one human familly. Ill raise it as my own.

Simple version...
God is a string stretched out forever. Anyplace along that string is a moment in time. As a human all you can see is your point on that string. But you must know that 2 inches back and 4 feet forward are all part of the same string at the same time.

PSacramento I agree. He carried the cross beam. So the JW's are only half right. Yes it was a stake. A singular pole. But once you fix the cross beam to it, it becomes a cross.

This is Great Tribulation food to use
by Leprechaun inthere is no real recipe... but i can explain how to make it.. 1) hard boil 8-10 eggs, peel and shell then set aside.. 2) fry up 1 pound of bacon.. 3) in a pot, thicken bacon grease up with flour to make a thick paste.. 4) add about 1/2 to 3/4 a gallon of milk to thickened bacon grease.. 5) stir with wisk till bacon grease dissolves into milk.
continue stirring and slowly bring to a boil.. milk will thicken into a gravy...be careful not to scorch.. 6) crunch up bacon and add to gravy.. 7) cut up boiled eggs into small chunks and add to gravy.. 8) season gravy with salt and pepper.. pour gravy over biscuits, or hot cakes or even toast and enjoy.

What does a demon or an evil spirit look like?

who needs demons to do bad things on the earth when we have people doing horrible things to each other since the beginning of time.
demons are just an easy way to pass of the blame...pretty easy to do since no one has ever seen one.. its like telling people there are evil invisible tooth faries lurking around every corner.
