Feeling So Alone

i have to post tonight.

i'm feeling so alone.

stopped here at the library to post this, on my way to the book study.

this is my advice to you if you are serious-

1. i see your mailbox is LOCKED- have you taken the opportunity to email any of us here one on one- if not then you need to- for this way you can start to build a new clientle of friends that YOU WILL NEED

2. If you have not spoken to anyone voice to voice- then you need to--
the net is fine to communicate over- but you need to speak to someone voice to voice

for us just hearing that a real live breathing person on the other end of the phone was so important to us

i showed your post to my wife and she has beening talking with so many females lately about our exp and just providing the comfort that you need right now

regardless of whether it is my wife and i you contact, you need to contact SOMEONE

there are just too many good folks up here for you not to take advantage of their help

if you need to arrange for someone to call you at a payphone at burger King etc- then by all means arrange for it

but you need to speak with someone and you will not believe the difference it will make

currently you are correct YOU ARE ALONE i was under the impression that you and your husband shared the same view- i was fortunate- my wife was ready to go years before i was- just felt much like you

the congo had no love- but being an elders wife seh like you put on the HAPPY FACE and went to meetings

so please if you are serious about this issue then you must take advantage of the opportunities that all of us are trying to extend to you

i realize that the FEAR is unreal , but you got to take a chance

email someone here that you have come to admire based on thier post- perhaps another woman- since women in the org share a common bond

about few weeks ago i put out on the net an open question

ANY TIRED JW IN THE WASHINGTON DC AREA- i got a response from 13 folks

we arranged alittle dinner over at our house an a number of them showed up - the rest due to schedules were not able to make it , but they appreicated having someone just to bounce things off

we are planning another one in about 3 or 4 weeks

it was great - we had inactive, df and da folks over= and we all shared the same concerns and pains

so take a chance YOU CAME HERE TO THIS SITE do what you got to do

Is Ray Richardson.......?

hi all you ex-bethelites out there(and anyone else who may know).. i was just curious if ray richardson is still at bethel, and if so, in what dept.?.

he was an elder in my congregation in brooklyn many years ago-bergen congregation.. he was a wonderful brother, soft-spoken and mild-tempered from all my recollections.. boozy

o yes the memories of ray richardson-

he was the Number #1 marriage man for all the married young guys - he was one patient dude and he needed to be with his wife-

ray like you stated was a very mild manner, low keyed type bethel "Heavy"

his wife for a better term was a "Bit.."

i remember her so well for her arrogant attitude

she was the oldest housekeeper in the bethel home- she could never seem to get that Job change- and hated bethel like you would not believe-

she really wanted to leave bethel, but she was willingly to make that "sacrifice"

i recall her always saying - "If Ray didn't work in Writing we would not be here"

she just spit on the poor sister who husband worked in cleaning or any other low level non "Writing or Service Dept Job"

as they guys used to say he was good with marriage and from what i understand alot of the material on marriage he had a hand in.

and with a wife like his he needed it

regret my "former" life as a Witness

disassociating yourself slowly or quickly is a matter of perspective; think about it: you lose either way, i.e.

the witnesses will treat you like you've become part of the "bodysnatchers" of the world and no matter how you rationalize it, there is no honorable way out in the eyes of the witnesses.. i was df'd about 1.5 years ago (as they said that i left the organization so it was entirely my fault, but little do they know that their organization left me, as i appealed the gb's decision), and the sudden break-off of family and friends in the truth is always devastating to say the least - it's an emotional explosion which in your wildest dreams would normally never ever happen....i can now understand what death means, at least in the beginning....yes i was dead though living - even though when i went back to the meetings afterwards, i could feel the lonely emptiness, the non-existence of myself.

yet when by accident i would be gazing straight into the eyes of one of my (former) friends, he would just stare past me as if i didn't exist at all even though i attempted to smile at him in indicating respect to him....how convenient for them to ignore a fellow friend and instead make me feel like the lowest person on earth - but then..of course they were taught to respond in this manner to anyone who is df'd.... then i though to myself...what would happen when eventually i would be re-instated: yes, then after the announcement most would want to see me at the end of the meeting all happy and oh so loving and wanting to be my best friend all over again - in a heartbeat they'll change from zombies to angelic like mortal creatures of love.... for this very reason i cannot return to the meetings in the hope of wanting to be re-instated and have this hypocrisy again heaped upon me like tentacles.

we all share this commone bond of understanding how the org works to make folks feel worthless.

just hang in there and over time it will get better

and your life will get better

Elders- "Trained or UnTrained- WHICH IS IT??

the biggest error wt has continued to make for the last 120yrs is they leave a wonderful paper trail behind - where a serious student of study will have no problem following and seeing that so many of their lofty claims simply don't fly .

case in point - are the elders trained or untrained clergymen as it were?.

well for those of you who have never served as an elder allow me to share with you what elders are told about their training.

a perfect recipe for failure

while i may not agree with all the bible says

the point that paul makes about folks who do things in god's name can be the worst fools you could ever deal with-

yep they will offer you and kill you and say we did a service for god

and that is what the avg elder feels when he walks out of a case that deals with apostasy esp

you have shown the human cost of having a high control group like wt control folks lives

i truly hope that at this point in your life you have come to some closure- if not completly which i doubt any of us really will if we have family who are still trapped in the burning wt house

but the net will provide you with like minded folks who understandand can offer words of comfort

i hear the pain in your post and in talking with others who have been DFed i can't imagine the pain

i too like you were an elder in fact i was a dyed in the wool Society Man- my view was simple IF IT;S IN PRINT THEN JAH HAS SPOKEN

the desire to make a statement is what i often hear from those who feel sending in a "30 page letter" will do if they DA thmeselves

and of course everyone has a different view and what works for one person may not work for another

but for me since i know that the Entire concept of "DA" is the brainchild of the Legal Dept i have seen no reason whatsoever to continue to allow them to control me even when i'm leaving

i would personly never waste the cost of a stamp-

but each person must do what they have to

the entire reason for the concept serves the interest of the wt in a number of ways-

in fact in the near future you will see more DFing offenses be RE-CLASSIFED by the legal dept to the classification of DA and more items will be classified as "A Conscience Matter"

the ways in which DA benefits wt are many just a few:

1- it protects them legally-- for YOU HAVE taken actions towards them and not the other way around as in a Judical case-

this was the result of what happened in a number of countries

i recall talking to Leon Weaver when i was at bethel about this and he was very candid about the role that DA plays in protecting God's Visible Org.

if someone joins the army in some countries and the elders were do take action then the gov would view them as being subversive

so the question comes up: "How can we kick thier blacka$$ out without getting into trouble?"

well in coms the legal desk and along with the service committee and writing dept they come up with this new COINED phrase known as "DA"

which allows the elders/ under the direction of the WT to kick your A$$ out without having to lift a finger- it has got to be the neatest trick one can pull

the instructions to all jw are to treat a da like adf person yet no committee is needed to get the same results
it like staying home from work all week and still get your chk of friday

why then would you go to work????????

2. the second benifit is it allows wt to classify you into thier worst group. HE TURNED HIS BACK ON GOD

as one person stated what really pisses wt off is when you can come and go when you please- one bro at bethel told me that jw who don't get DF or DA are like satan up in heaven coming and going at will

personally i feel that due to the wt indoctrination it is much harder to help someone like family get out if you have been classified as DA

they are not in fear of being seen with you or your car in thier yard or even being seen over at your house

if anything most jw would assume perhaps that they are "helping " you out

but they would rarely be caught dead in your persense if you are DA

but it all depends on the circumstances

for those with family in and those with no family in it is different

i menetioned a thread were we discussed how to leave wt intact

and what the main thrust was not so much as to whether one drifted or da but THE TIMING

TO many jw that we see here make a haste decision and instead of leaving on THEIR TERMS they ARE FORCED ONTO WT TERMS

if one takes advantage of the advice here they can leave on thier terms

for my wife and i we are now at a very comfortable point- we have had time like someone else mentioned to est new friends , new activities, etc

so if they were to hear about old james on the net and having DFed and DA folks over to the house-- so what--

but as for taking action on my part Please i would never give the WT Legal Dept that type of control over my life.

I have spoken to so many former jw who sincerely went out of thier way to "EXPLAIN" why they were leaving- xeroxing 50 page packets to give to each elder, mailing out BULK MAIL to all family and friends

thinking that somehow it would "explain" things WRONG--

the intense wt indoctrination has prepared almost every man woman an child for the day that they hear something that has the SMELL OF APOSTASY on it- and so they shut down like an ATM machine on the 3rd try with the wrong PIN number.

i feel the most important thing on this issue is NOT HOW YOU LEAVE BUT WHEN YOU LEAVE

and this NET "THANG" IS THE key- time and time again we see folks tell us THE ELDERS ARE COMING - WHAT SHOULD I DO
and the advice just rolls in-

cause the avg joe blow publisher and Lord have mercy don't let it be a sister don't have any idea of how the elders program work - where you have a combination of the wt instructions along with the personal
rules of some jacka$$ elder coming at you-

i know as a former Society Man we would sit in our car just before going into the house and like the society told us PLAN OUR ATTACK

who would cover this and who would cover that- and the poor soul wouldn't stand a chance against 2 well prepared and exp elders- the questions would be coming from out of left field and they could not block them-

but having the net folks are learning everyday how and what to do and not to do so that they can survive and keep at least a certain amount of thier sanity

the key is this folks HOW EVER YOU LEAVE MAKE SURE IT IS ON YOUR TERMS AND ON YOUR TIME TABLE NOT THIERS

it is good to see one of the BOYS from the House on the NET- i was up at the Big House during the 80's - my congo was up in Harlem

i'm in the Wash DC area now-- not too far from old Tony Griffin's folks up in MD

he is a heavy boy up in Service- my man conducted the last CO and DO school in preparations for the last elders school- he had mentioned it to a buddy of mine who is still at the house(but wants to leave-21yr kinda hard) that a couple of the old DO were offended that bethel sent this and i quote "Young Buck"

case in point - the wt has given jw like this dude very clear instructions and scriptures to support it as to why he SHOULD NOT BE UP HERE IN THIS FORUM -- yet he goes to the hall and pretends that at night he is home reading his latest mag when in fact he is hangingout with DF da and apostates- but of course since no one sees him - he feels he is OK

excellent post- as this post indicates the net will prove to be a serious problem for the wt- to me it is very clear why the wt tells folks like this guy to stay off the net

you see they know that the boat has holes in the bottom and so they don't go out into the water on to see thier boat sink- so uninformed jw like the guy here ventures out into the boat that wt has provided only to find out it has holes in it -

now this guy had no idea that the worst enemy of wt is it's on Paper trail - so he marches out here and states so proudly that THE WATCHTOWER IS NOT THE TRUE RELIGION having no idea that the wt has stated that he must accept everything they tell him by means of what is published by the WT

so the kicker is we have all these lurker and NONJW who will read his post and then turn around and be shown the OFFICIAL POSITION on the matter from the WT itself- so he now stands before the whole WWW looking silly- and why cause he has failed to do his research to see what did the Society say on this matter or that- as i have said so many times you can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy

It is as if he came out yelling my mommy ain't selling her "Coochie" and then all of a sudden he is presented with his own mommy on video tape telling folks how Good her "Coochie" is the the going rate for the day

as we were talking it merely hilights the double think double speak that is required for a person to be a jw
