Watchtower 2008 dumb logic= "Belief in evolution makes you an orphan."

mankind would have no source of superior wisdom to consult- no one to help us solve our problems.

we would have to rely on human wisdom to avert enviromental disaster, to solve political conflicts, and to guide us through our personal crises.

What a crazy statement...they are nuts!!! They a have a twisted and confused mind the writters of the WT...It reminds a joke it goes like this:

A guy takes lessons in logical thinking...he walks in the street finds a friend name Jo. So he tells him about the lessons that he is taking and tries to show him how logical thinking works:

question:Jo do you like swimming?

answer:Yes

question: You like to watch the girls in their bathing suits?

answer: for sure yeah

question:and since you like swimming that means you like fish?

answer:Yeah

question:and since you like fish that means you have a fish bowl at home?

answer:yeah

question:So you are not gay? Since you like swimming, watching the girls on the beach, and having a fish bowl at home?

answer: Yeah correct

So Jo is so exited by the lesson of logic by his friend..he keeps walking and then he see an old friend Charles on the street.

Hi Charles, a friend of mine teach me the lesson of logical thinking, so I will try this on you?

Charles replies: Yeah give a try?

Jo asks: Do you have a fish bowl at home?

Charles replies: No

Then Jo says: Oh boy you are gay!!!

Watchtower uses the same logic...if we accept evolution it means that we are immoral, and have no faith in a creator..what a louzy banch of loosers....

i recall it was one of the first books that i started to read on my way out of the wt process...it was just an amazing book...i have seen also the film and the music by neil diamond it is superb.... in fact the first person that introduce me to read this book was my spiritual guider...in christian orthodox church we choose a guider in our christian life...he guides and helps to reach christian enlightment and holyness through jesus...it was the first book he asked to me read...i was supprised since the christian orthodox church has a wealth of writtings from the early church fathers, saints and apostolic writtings.. indeed the book show me to find my self, my powers, and to be free spirit.. simply perfect.

Welcome to the board...we know exactly how you feel..we have all been through the same process...I was preparing for 6 years and still I find it hard...my marriage is broken. I have 2 small kids in the Witchtower, and in my late 30's I started a new life from the beggining...

I know is hard, but there is no hornable way to leave WT...you must find new friends, start a life and believe me it is really worth it...once you open the cage there is no turning back

i've been with someone for over ten years.

sounds like a long time to be engaged, but we were perfectly happy with the arrangement, knowing that some of the circumstances in each of our lives needed to be worked out before we could marry.

one day she told me that she wanted to investigate the jws.

My God!!! Try to awake her up man..she doesn't know were she is heading to. There are many things to show her that Watchtower is a Mind destructive cult. Plus they are not even Christians(despite what they are saying)

SHE IS IN A GREAT DANGER...and YOU are the ONLY one to get her out of there before is too late. There are many helpfull links regarding Jehovahs Witness thay you can use them to help her. If you want sent me a message and I will help you. I was there for 33 years and I know from first hand what they are really are...

Try to act quickly..before she will be brain washed completely and then there is no hope

This is the problem with Christian foundamentalists...they just ignore the facts. In my country Cyprus an Island in the medditerenean sea we have neolithic settlements that they are dating 10,000 years old...even if you take human history we have our ancestors carved designs in mammouths touths...again that was before the last ice age 10,500 years ago.

If we came through a creation proccess there is nothing wrong about it. And again it does not cancelling the existence of God

here is the hypothetical question of the day - would you, or more appropriately, could you live forever in paradise on earth with jw's?

with the hypocrosy, silly elders, silly people... feeding lions and cleaning up after animals... everyone living by waterfalls, like the jw's always portray in they're psychotic pamphlets..... or would you rather be dead.

i, personally, would much rather be dead.

disconcerting but amusing to see the audience bastardise the jerry springer call for wogan and now it's terry terry terry.. if we were going to win on attractive luridly dressed girls we're in with a chance - although more cleavage and ass i say.. the second band the revelations are good, but not quite the grand climax i was hoping for.. .

I don't think so you will win any Eurovision song contest...As you know Eurovision lost the glance used to have. Italy doesn't care about it, most of the songs are horrible, and it has become a competition of ex-communist blog countries, that they are giving points to each other and they can deside the winner...

2 Special Pioneers 1 Missionary sick with Chronic fatigue- Quit Ministry!

2 special pioneers i knew were at the assembly last year i wanted to know how they were since they have special pioneered for 20 years.

both got sick and have chronic fatigue.

they quit pioneering to rest and get better.

It is not supprise that JW's are suffering with LFS. I can imagine pioneers since I was a regular pionneer for 6 years(90 hours)but it doesn't have to be a pioneer to get tired, the JW's life is so hard to follow that i know that most of them are tired. The funny thing is they are blaming the "system" for their situation!!!

JW's are so brainwashed that they cannot even see that they are shrinking in numbers...there are Churches that they increasing in great numbers...the only end a JW will see it is the end of their misserable life...

Why Is Relgion So Focused on Eschatology - to the Point of Obsession?

this is one idea that unites the disparate religions of the world.

furthermore, eschatological concerns constitute a link or a bridge between the religions currently practised in the world, and other ancient, forgotten religions.

It depends on what religion you are talking about..if you are talking about the Protestand extreme movements like WT or Seventh Day Adventists yeah indeed they are obsesssed.

After leaving WT before 8 years(as an innactive dub at the beggining and now disfellowshiped) I realize that I should wipe off all my WT faith system and believes, and start all over again. As a result of this and after a research that no one was forced me to get baptized before the end comes I ended up Christian Orthodox.Some reasons wast the Apostolic Succesion of the Church, the fact that the Gospel was in preached and written in Greek, and the Church never apostasised from the Early Church as the Protestands claim, but there is a line of succesion in the Church. The most importand it is that the Biblical cannon was given by the Orthodox Church Fathers.

What I learned also it is that the Church DOES NOT focus in Eschatology. In fact those who tried to point out that the end was near, and we have lot of those, the Church did not accept this kind of gospel. Because Christianity does not have to do with the end or any Armageddon.

Jesus has to do with LOVE-FORGIVENESS- MERCY...Jesus is the way for us the sinners to be His friends and called children of God. Jesus coming on earth opened the Kindom of Heaven to every on who believes Him, and He has a truimph over sin and death with the Ressurection from the dead.

This was the main idea of Christianity, and this how it is kept. Free from fear and focusing on JESUS
