Former or Current Elders, MS, Pioneers.......Did you enjoy these positions?
by R.F. indid you ever enjoy serving in this way or did you view it more as, "it's the thing that's encouraged, so that's what i'll do"?.
im currently a ms and pioneer(will shed this one immediately) and before i ever were appointed these, i always wanted to.
i thought it was a pretty cool thing for someone my age to be instructing the congo, and to have so many look up to you.

I was pioneer, MS with elders priveleges, and step down just before they were going to asign me as an elder(damn apostates!!!)
In fact I did enjoy this possitions...at the begining. after it was very hard to keep up with their requirements, specially when you have a family and children.

Question about 1914
by serotonin_wraith injws believe 1914 was a turning point with jesus' invisible reign, and the first world war started in 1914.. what order did it actually happen?.
did they think armageddon would be in 1914, then when it came and went they changed their mind and said it was jesus' invisible reign?
or did the war happen and only after they decided to say 1914 was a special year for them?

What a brilliant scientist was Carl Sagan...Watch the film 'Contact'...In the film, at the end, the Scientist she believe's in God. In a very nice way Carl he tells us that God exists.
Regarding 1914, actually it wasn't 1914 but 1878, and then it was 1914 that God would establish the millenuim. But nothing happened so they said it was the invisible parousia(presence)of Christ that only Russell has saw!!!
The rest it is history altered by Watchtower. They say nothing about 1925, that Booze Jo build a nice villa and he waited for the earthly Prophets to come(Noah, Isaac, David, Moses)but again nothing happened, and then it was 1942 that few months way from Armageddon separate JW's. And it was 1975. and nothing happened again, and the famous generation that will see the end, died in 1995.

the answer i always get "if their concious allows them its ok it not for us to judge".
if that is the case, whole blood should also be allowed if their concious allows them to.

The blood issue it is one of the most hard ones,regarding WT's doctrine...In fact it is a result of the demonic influence that WT Society is under control, since their establishment.
I recall that a couple of new converted JW's, have left due to the blood doctrine. It was hard for them to understand how can they use fractions of blood, and not the whole blood. It couldn't make sense to them...
In a few years to come WT will change their doctrine into matter of conscious. They change most of their crap theology the past 15 years, so they will go for this one too.

SH*T!!! I have tried to listen to the puplic talks...I just couldn't take their crap anymore. I try to listen to the "The Superiority of being Taught by Jeh." I only could stand it for 7 minutes...No more... Bloody bastards they don't change at all...Same old sh*t.
Perhaps they should try to ask someone at my age regarding higher education!!!
Boy I have a lot of things to tell...When I was a teenager back in the early 80's, they were telling us the same things.
Now I 'm 40....(I find it hard to believe that really I have reached 40's)What was the result for obeying those FALSE PROPHETS made in U.S.A.?
With no higher education you don't get payed well. And you find it hard to get a good job...unless cleaning toilets, and windows it is considered a good job. I always remember my self working 2 or even 3 jobs just to make it through...were other friends of mine they were getting more money from me, and they enjoy their lifes...
For me all days are the same, No weekends, no holidays no nothing...and why? Because a banch of uneducated old men have decided that we don't need no education...all we need is thought control...
I remember that the elders of the Witchtower used to mess our lifes. I started playing guitar in a band. After a while they came and said that I was looking for my own glory, instead of Jehovah's...I build a radio station(and it was pretty damn good one) they came again and they threatened me with disfellowship if I don't quit...
I wish I didn't listen to them..my life would have been different now. And you know why? Because in WitchTower you have NO friends, or family, or children. YOU GOT NOTHING, NOTHING AT ALL. My wife turn me to the elders for apostasy...and that was the end. Now I have to live alone, away from my little 2 children, and actually at my 40's I'm trying to start a new life...
The WitchTower needs their followers to be unaducated, because if they get education they might start think for their own, and this is something that they don't allow...

by IMHO inwhy is that at conventions and assemblies a big point is made of introducing speakers by name, when the writers of the magazine articles and outlines are kept quite?

I agree most of the points stated here regarding the names of the speakers...
But how do we know in the Bible who is the author of a Book? We know it, because the author usually revealing its name...
But the WATCHTOWER it sooooo HAMBLE that they are not revealing the names those who are writting the WT articles, Awake, all this books that their bringing forward to the dubs in the conventions, and also the puplic talks.
They are indeed the ultimate example of hambleness!!!
