for those who've had god put something "into your heart", please describe the experience.
please be as vague or specific as you'd like to be.. .
was it unmistakable?.
God hates vampires...
Ugh! I should've come across this sooner. Thanks a lot guys! I'm sooooo offended! And WTF do vampires have to do with this anyway? Idiots...

do you think it has superpowers?
who controlls it?
satan?
As a continuing believer in things beyond the material universe, I'll say yes, I still have my hangups over that. I've heard too many horror stories from outside the Borg to want to be bothered, stories that had no origin from within the JW sphere. There are rock solid atheists who have had their 'faith' in all things being material shaken over incidents with these so-called harmless pursuits. No, there is no scientific basis for any of this, but, "where there's smoke, there's fire" and I don't want to get burned! I'm not here to argue the point, just telling my side...

Yep, they'll steal people's ENTIRE LIVES if they can. Damn the Filthful and Disgusting Slavebugger! Damn the Elders!
Damn them all to hell! If there is a hell, they deserve to be there!

do you believe it does nothing and still continue to fuel superstition?.
do you think is polite?
cultural?
I say it on occasion, though I often substitute "geshundheit" instead 'cuz I think it's a little more clever.
I'd say it's generally polite, a custom, a cultural thing and all that jazz. I don't worry about the superstition thing.
Can the same things not be said about raising and clinking glasses?

since i last posted on this board.miss me?here we go (question):if a jw woman is widow,or divorced,or not married at all who's her head then?the elders?christ?god?her neightbours?her son??
(i want the org's official point of view).
To think of it they couldn't answer at all.
Most could if they wanted to and did a little digging. They're either too lazy or too fearful of their gods in Brooklyn...

question:.
since we do not know what the divine name actually was and how it was pronounced, why does the wt insist on "jehovah"?.
the divine name brochure answers this on page 8. it says, "when it came to gods name, instead of putting the proper vowel signs around it, in most cases they put other vowel signs to remind the reader that he should say adho?nai.
The best and most literal spelling/pronuciation I've been able to muster through some digging and derivation from other ancient Hebrew names is: Yehoweh. But does it really matter?

PS: I wonder if Leolaia can do better?
okay, if you haven't figured me out yet, read my past forum posts.. so the 2 elders wanted to meet up with me for the last time today to talk to me, but i told them that i want to talk on the phone and not in person as i can speak more freely and have less inhibitions.. they found out that i had committed acts of homosexuality with a few people and they still want to keep me in the congregation somehow.. i, myself, don't feel repentant over what i did and don't really regret much.
if i came across an opportunity to actually be in a relationship with someone and it were to appeal to me, i could potentially take that opportunity.. so now, i need to know what to tell them when they call me in an hour from now.
i want to be able to let them know that i don't mind being disfellowshipped and that i'm not repentant.
I'm leaning towards agreement with letsslatejws.
Don't play their game. Don't show up at any of their meetings. Don't talk to them at all. If they force the issue, get a restraining order against them. Get the law involved if you can. Those f**kers don't deserve a minute of your time...

So Christ is her head?
So they claim. Their actions say otherwise IMO. The way they act, it's like they think they're gods unto themselves...
