tia.dalma, have you read any of nugget and cantleave's experiences? Just wondering.
TLD, All you can do is lay low, mind your own business, keep quiet and hopefully they will leave you alone. Don't cause trouble or stir up the bees nest. You will pay a price for leaving, but it is well worth it for what you will gain. Be prepared to face lots of rejection, pain, and sadness, but also look forward to the absolute freedom to think, to learn, and to formulate your life as you feel best.
You really do find out who your true friends and family are. You are brave to do this with family members being at your actual KH. I find it hard to think about what people must think about me, and I think that is one of the hardest things because I like to make people happy and please them. If you are like that too, developing a thick skin is essential.
Take care, and keep in touch, it helps to read what others have been through, knowing you are not alone.

Chill out, relax and join me in the land of the TORTOISE.
by nicolaou inwhy does every waking moment need to be filled with something?!.
when was the last time you just kicked back and daydreamed, got lost in a novel or wasted an afternoon listening to your old l.p's?
the world is so fast, work has deadlines, housework must get done and when you think you've finally caught up another pile of tasks lands in your 'in tray'.. i want to be a tortoise!.

Anyone else get stabbed in the back?
by WontLeave ini was a gung-ho advocate for jws.
i got on the message boards and would argue down any detractor, apostate, church pastor, disgruntled ex-jw, you name it... i was out in the ministry constantly, practically running from door to door, preaching.
i started studies left and right.

Are there more details to your story? So am I understanding this correctly that you feel the Watchtower stated something in opposition to the Bible as you interpret it? Therefore your elders feel you are stirring up trouble and possibly feeding doubts to the FDS?
Can you still comment, go in service, give talks?

Just found this and happen to recall this vividly. The PO at the KH I went to at the time told me that this elder had done no wrong, although it looked bad of course. Apparantly he had an on call type of job, and could leave during those hours and would have to come back should he be needed.
I believe he had some responsibilities at the conventions as well. Nothing happened to him.

I have so much spiritual gas from that spolied so called spiritual food over the years...what should I take?
by Joliette ini need to get rid of it.. when i was a kid, the brothers would always get on stage and talk about what an abudant buffet of spiritual food from jehovah's table we will receive.
when i was a kid i use to take everything so literally, so i would imagine a buffet of ham, chicken, macncheese (the most creamy mac n cheese, candy yams, turkey, corn bread).
i used to wish that the brother would finish with the prayer so we could get to old county buffet, so i could get to the literal food.. .

Favorite products?
by mamalove ini was reading the yahoo article featured today on products that are ingenious, and people just cannot live without.
i am curious what things you always keep in your house that are irreplacably handy or useful.
what interesting ways would you use them that normally may not be the application it was designed for?.

I like to have Lestiol in the house. It is a liquid soap with excellent degreasing capabilities. You can use it on laundry for getting out melted lipstick from the dryer, oil on the driveway, messy pots and pans, etc.
Mr. Clean sponges get prints off of moldings, door handles, and clean off just about anything that soap and water can't.
I must have spring cleaning on the brain, because I am thinking of starting a thread about home organization too!
