hello all.... some of you have been following our story from the beginning - and even those of you who haven't should be able to relate to my quandary.... last week my 14 year old son told me he no longer wants to be a jw.
we laboured over telling his jw dad all week.
well, on friday night he finally came clean.. but in a bizarre and unexpected twist, after having sex with his girlfriend for the very first time - in his father's home that very afternoon.
Do you think he is running to you because he feels guilty from his JW upbringing? I am surprised he told you. What about the girl? Her parents?
I would let him keep his dignity at all costs, but do your best to convince him it is not a wise thing to do since he cannot afford to pay for a baby right now.
i remember being a high school senior and wanting to go to prom ( i graduated from high school in 2003 ), but prom was forbidden when your a jw teen.
i even said to my parents if i took a witness girl would it be ok; they actually said yes.
i found a girl ( yes she's a witness ) to go with me, but here's the kicker she agreed to go.
Yes, first one I got caught somehow, don't really remember. Second one, senior year, I went. With a JW guy who was older than me. He was a double lifer, like I was at the time.

StandFirm, can you prove those scriptures to be true? Is there historical evidence of the unity? Any other documentation to back up the scriptures you picked to make your point? I guess I would need that to reaffirm the logic and explaination you provide. Looking forward to your answer. Thanks!

an elderly lady who lives behind us lost her husband to cancer two years ago.
she has been doing alright, her two grown sons have been helping her out a lot.
I love it! That was very kind of you to do that for them. My neighbors are great also. Catholic and Non-Dem I believe. Wonderful people who help me out whenever I need it.
So funny how they were dying to find out what you two were saying. Watch, maybe they will try and one up you and do something else for the old lady! Keep shaming them, the only person to benefit is that widow, and she deserves it!
i made the final step the other day.. i donated blood.. .
i've been meaning to do it for ages, just never gotten around to it.
felt absolutely no guilt or akwardness at all.

the jw's make a concerted effort to get out in the field service magazing peddling work just to shit all over your day of celebration.. i was out getting mothers day flowers for my roomie this morning, and saw literally gobs and gobs of jw's working the area.. .

Yeah, I had a visit yesterday. They left when they couldnt defend a few points I brought up.
i've noticed my husband (w/the backing of the brothers) trying his best to 'catch me' or imply inproper dealings or what whatever with the opposite sex.
we had a big blow up where it resulted in his being terribly cursed out and demeaned (by me, of course and i hate doing that but it is the only way to keep him at bey).
i hate when he tries to incriminate me when it comes to a simple acquaintance or phone call.
I am sorry you are so frustrated. I am confused, do you want to stay associated with the JW's? Or do you just want to fade, and also make sure that he doesnt come up smelling like a rose in the congregation while making you look bad?
Divorce is sometimes the only way you can survive. We all have our breaking points. Also, do you want your kids to grow up brainwashed, to get married young, and to have a bleak future thinking armageddon is around the corner? Be proactive for your kids.
And as far as custody, he won't get full custody. Now a days, most courts want the parents to do 50/50 custody if they are willing. If they dont do drugs in front of kids, or have child porn in the house, 50/50 will be awarded in many cases.

i can't even believe what's happened.
i'm really in shock.. without any warning i got an email from my son yesterday afternoon.
