1975 selling of houses
by Paul Bonanno inas 1975 was approaching, many witnesses sold their property.
do you know about specific cases that are willing to share their experience of doing so?.
-

Nothing to do with selling houses, but everything to do with ruining one's future.
I graduated from high school in 1968. A fellow graduate Manfred Groulx, told there was no time to get a university education and that if I did not become a JW by 1975 I would be destroyed at Armageddon. I told him he would wake up in 1976 with egg all over his face.
Manfred gave my name to a couple of elders who paid me a visit. My dad came upstairs and asked if he could join the conversation. He turned both of these men upside down doctrinally and I was so thankful for his Bible knowledge as well as his 5 year experience with the cult.

How get out of watchtower?
by Hellothere inhow do you get out of watchtower?
am i supposed to write letter to bethel or local congregation telling them i don't want to be a jw anymore?

If you do not have family in by all means cut the tie officially. By your baptism you declared loyalty to the organization and gave them authority over you. By a letter of disassociation you are declaring your independence.
Try something like:
For the record I wish to inform you that I am no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I have come to realize that Watchtower religion is absolute nonsense. Delete my name from your records and never contact me in an official capacity again or I will consider it harassment.

Former Elders Please - Disbeliever recently married to a JW
by doasthouwilt ini recently married my best friend of 32 years.
she is a life-long jw and once an active pioneer, i am a 'worldly' person through-and-through, always will be.
we married because it was the only way we could find a way of staying together while giving her a path back to her religion ultimately, which she does not want to (or cannot) let go of.

Why does your wife want to be part of a high control family wrecking organization.
If your wife needs religion, why not join a real church where there is love and your past is your past and no one will question you or her about what you did a few years ago.

How About.....YOU Doing the Shunning?
by titch inhello, folks: about a month ago, stan livedeath started a post about.
how many of the readers here on the site have been or are now being shunned by friends/relatives?
well, let's turn that around a little bit: how many of the readers here have purposely shunned a witness, when they encountered them?

Acts 20:28
by Fisherman inacts 20:28 literally says: “his own blood”.
nwt interprets the verse: “the blood of his own son”.
nwt is an accurate interpretation because the verse is axiomatically referring to the blood of jesus and not the blood of god..

(NWT) Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the holy spirit has appointed you overseers, to shepherd the congregation of God, which he purchased with the blood of his own Son. Acts 20:28
(ASV) Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.
(DRB) Take heed to yourselves and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the Church of God which he hath purchased with his own blood.
(GNB) So keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock which the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he made his own through the blood of his Son.
(KJV) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

(KJVA) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
(LITV) Then take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God which He purchased through His own blood.
(MKJV) Therefore take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God which He has purchased with His own blood.
(YLT) 'Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the assembly of God that He acquired through His own blood,
John Gill's Commentarywhich he hath purchased with his own blood; which being the blood not only of a pure and innocent man, but of one that is truly and properly God as well as man, was a sufficient ransom price to redeem the church and people of God from sin, the law, its curse and condemnation: so that this is no inconsiderable proof of the true and proper deity of Christ; and contains a fresh argument, or reason, why the flock of God and "church of Christ", as the Syriac version reads; or "the church of the Lord and God", as in five of Beza's exemplars: or "of the Lord God", as the Arabic version, should be taken heed unto and fed; because it must needs be dear to God and Christ, and precious to them, since so great a price has been paid for it. The purchaser is God, Christ who is God over all, blessed for ever, not a creature; that could never have made such a purchase, it could not have purchased a single sheep or lamb in this flock, no man can redeem his brother, or give to God a ransom for him, much less the whole flock; but Christ being God, was able to make such a purchase, and he has actually made it, and given a sufficient price for it; not to Satan, with whom these sheep were a prey, and from whom they are taken in virtue of the ransom given; but to God, from whom they strayed, against whom they sinned, and whose law they broke; and this price was not silver and gold, nor men, nor people: but Christ himself, his life and blood; and which were his "own", the human nature, the blood of which was shed, and its life given being in union with his divine person, and was in such sense his own, the property of the Son of God, as the life and blood of no mere man are theirs: and this purchase now being made in this way, and by such means, is a very proper one; it is not made without price, but with an invaluable one; and it is a legal purchase, a valuable consideration being given for it, perfectly equivalent to it; and therefore is a complete one, there is nothing wanting to make it more firm, it is a finished purchase; and it is a very peculiar one, it is a peculiar people that are purchased, called the purchased possession, Eph_1:14 and a peculiar price which is paid for it; there is no other of the same kind, nor any thing like it, and it is made by a peculiar person, one that is God and man in one person.

Mark Jones had this to say.
"Only last week I heard, with my own ears, Jehovah’s Witnesses tell me the following:
- Jehovah communicates with us through the Watchtower magazines.
- In the “new system” we’ll be assigned an area to live. We must be sure to obey that direction.
- My daughter has been disfellowshipped for 19 years. She has 3 children whom I’ve never met. I hope she “comes to her senses” and returns so I can see her again.
I'm of the opinion that if someone believes those things, they’re so far gone into delusion its not about truth anymore. It’s about desperately clinging to the belief system you signed a lifetime contract on.
Honest-hearted ones eventually see it for what it is and leave....(and) watch it slowly turn into an online-only governing body fanclub.... I feel pity for the ones born in who had nothing to compare it to and so were duped into joining. But everyone else will eventually come to their senses and leave if they value truth."

Don't forget about Acts 14 great tribulation.
Act 14:21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
