BAD LANGUAGE WARNING ON THIS ONE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=SGxKhUuZ0Rc
i asked:.
who is jehovah?.
answer: that's a topic for another day and another assistant!.
"This is about you, not me"!
i recall a jw telling me that.... "they" meaning scientists, had done study's on lions in zoo's and discovered that if they gave lions straw and grass to eat that the lions became very passive and no longer showed predator behavior??
now they never explained who "they" were, or were these "study's" had been done or why based on these study's lions are not now fed grass etc
has anyone else heard this for real?
Found this:

At the time the Israelites returned to their homeland in 537 B.C.E., Jehovah evidently protected them from lions and other rapacious beasts along the way. (Isa 35:8-10) In the land itself lions and other predators doubtless had increased during the 70 years of its desolation. (Compare Ex 23:29.) But, evidently because of Jehovah’s watch care over his people, the Israelites and their domestic animals apparently did not fall prey to lions as had the foreign peoples whom the king of Assyria settled in the cities of Samaria. (2Ki 17:25, 26) Therefore, from the standpoint of the Israelites, the lion was, in effect, eating straw like a bull, that is, doing no harm to them or their domestic animals. (Isa 65:18, 19, 25) Under Messiah’s rulership, however, there comes to be a greater fulfillment of the restoration prophecies. Persons who may at one time have been of a beastly, animalistic, vicious disposition come to be at peace with more docile fellow humans and do not seek to do them harm or injury. Both in a literal and a figurative sense, peace will come to exist between lions and domestic animals.—Isa 11:1-6; see BEASTS, SYMBOLIC.
hi everyone, i have some questions for anyone that can answer.
i've been doing some research in the whole united nations scandal with the watchtower organization.
and i am wondering what the society's view on the un is as of late.
The Awake now only reports on facts re the united nations or quotes from them, usually in the "watching the world" article.
i asked:.
who is jehovah?.
answer: that's a topic for another day and another assistant!.
I asked:
Who is Jehovah?
Answer: That's a topic for another day and another assistant!
Who is Jesus?
Answer: I would ask that you address your spiritual questions to someone more qualafied, , ideally a human!
What is the meaning of life?
Answer: Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try to live in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations!
Should I become a Jehovah's Witness?
Answer: I cant answer that!
Are you a Christian?
Answer: I eschew theological disquisition!
there is a huge debate going on about it now between governments and religions.
i say bring it on.
i wonder what the jw stance on this issue is!
"I think that The Bible pretty clear on what Marriage is, and its views on homosexuality ".
Yep, Adam and Eve not Adam & Steve.
...just unbelievable.
even the lefties are having trouble to find nice words for them...hahaha!.

Watched half of it, very sad state of affairs. How can you be suprised though.
the study edition of the watchtower says the elders are appointed by jehovah's holy spirit.
it's confounding the society does not realize that more and more elders, do not accept this claim.
i have racked my brain, wondering how many brothers and sisters actually believe this, fall hook and sinker.
Here is some extra on the subject:
w023/15p.14par.7ChristLeadsHisCongregation7
As in the first century, a small group of qualified men from among the anointed overseers now serve as the Governing Body, representing the composite faithful and discreet slave. Our Leader uses this Governing Body to appoint qualified men—whether spirit-anointed or not—as elders in the local congregations. In this regard, the holy spirit, which Jehovah has given Jesus authority to employ, plays a pivotal role. (Acts 2:32, 33) First of all, these overseers must meet the requirements set out in God’s Word, which was inspired by holy spirit. (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 2 Peter 1:20, 21) The recommendations and appointments are made after prayer and under the guidance of the holy spirit. Additionally, the individuals appointed give evidence of producing the fruitage of that spirit. (Galatians 5:22, 23) Paul’s counsel, then, applies with equal force to all elders, whether anointed or not: “Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the holy spirit has appointed you overseers.” (Acts 20:28)the study edition of the watchtower says the elders are appointed by jehovah's holy spirit.
it's confounding the society does not realize that more and more elders, do not accept this claim.

90% of the Elders that I know are good guys, misguided yes but genuine in what they do. Totally agree though, Holy spirit simply can't be involved in the appointing of such men, servants either. Some as we know actually lie when asked those questions re past sins and child abuse. The Holy spirit would detect this?
