don't get me wrong, it does suck.
but after being on ex-jw boards for years, and being df'ed for almost 10; i do see some hidden blessings.. first, you do not have to struggle with fading successfully.

I'm not DF'd yet, just faded at the moment, but I love the mental freeness. I love that the huge burden of guilt I carried around as a JW is gone. I love that the never feeling good enough anxiety is gone. I like this new me.

thanks to all who have given me such support this past week, for your kind pms, and all your hints and tips for leaving..or slipping away.
hubby threw out all my wt and awake literature yesterday (going back to 1983, it was a lot!).

anxiety (like many others) is like a security blanket.
when i do meditation...the anxiety leaves, but this vulnerbility takes over, and this huge amount of fear developes.. .
when it comes to my relationship i am deeply insecure and affraid of abandonment.
Sorry, I didn't know what to say and my head is muddled because I am sick at the moment. **cough cough** I'm crap at offering advice too. :) I do know what you mean by being worried when something good happens. I worry about that but so far nothing bad has happened that I thought would. Sometimes I think I wouldn't have certain worries that I have if I had been raised different. I think about all the things that I am thankful for and try to just enjoy each day.

my sister lost her battle with breast cancer last week.

i had just been dismissed from the hospital the day before and she was admitted to icu the next day.
I hope they can find a treatment that works for you. I'm so sorry about your sister. What a tough time you must be going through.

how have your opinions changed on subjects like premarital sex, gay marriage, higher education, music, smoking, interfaith marriage etc... and do you think they have changed for the better?
personally i feel like everybody has the right to choose their own path, free to make their own choices outside of the jw's and everybody within their religion needs to deal with it and move on, like they expect everyone else to do when they made the choice to become a jw.. i have no problem with homosexuality, seeing that i'm bisexual myself; i used to hate it when my mother would get angry with me because i wouldn't tell my gay friends that it was wrong and disgusting and one day god was gonna killl them kill them for it, when she knew i was too, it was hypocracy at it's finest.
smoking is so not a moral choice to me, it's a health choice.
I can't relate to my old JW self now. Basically, most of what JW's got their panties in a bunch over I don't care about any more.

i am a college trying to maintain good grades.college is stressful especially this year.have any of you who are still in college, or went to college found it to be difficult in any way shape or form?.for me i am worried about finding a good career after i graduate.since the job market is still slow.. thanks.
