  i just wondered if anyone was going to partake this year?

  when i learned ttatt, it became obvious that the wtbts was not god's organization.

  it became obvious that if the bible was true, the wtbts's teaching on the "anointed" were false.

  I like your point about this generation. It's over, it's gone. Making up a new and ridiculous meaning for the term generation changes nothing, 1914 cannot be true.

  who will own this residential village for elderly jw's?

  spending $6.5 million to build it, housing up to 38 individuals.

  It is going to be hard for the elderly to get their 15 mnnutes preaching in per month being surrounded only by JWs, maybe they could put a cart up at the front for the delivery guys.

  With only JWs being employed I wonder if they are allowed to do this with the anti discrimination laws.

  It never ceases to amaze me how many JWs can spend hours and hours out in the field service, most of the time getting nowhere, rather than focusing on their own family.

  all - so my wife told me she was going to the kh yesrterday.

  it has been a couple of months so i was a bit disappointed but i sucked it in.

  i thought about it for a while and when we had a quiet moment together i said to her: "i know you need to make an appearance every once in a while to avoid the risk of being asked to da yourself and being shunned.

  Jah-Jireh retirement homes web site...GONE?

  does any one know where the jah-jireh webs sites, the sites that deal with the jw retirement homes have gone?.

  i've been interested in them for a while, (with my age and that) but they've disappeared from the web!.

  does anyone know why they might have come of, been taken off, disappeared from the net.. the only reference i can find to them is a list of retirement homes with a religious bent.. thanks all!.

  That's a great video to motivate the young ones. The only problem is that they are encouraging them to save up their money to go on a holiday rather than preaching for the right reasons.

  Anybody have experience selling on Ebay or Amazon?

  there are a few collectibles i am wanting to sell.

  my concern is that if i accept payment w/ credit card, etc, that i ship the item and they either open it (destroying the value), or just lie about not getting it, or any other thing to cause ebay/amazon to chargeback.

  i was wondering if anybody sells on them is there a protection for sellers and how often does that type of thing happen?

  When a JW relative came to visit . . . .

  for those of you who are shunned, it is in disguise a blessing.

  becuase when you are not shunned, jws come to visit.

  it is the most tiresome hosting you will ever endure.. for the first 2 1/2 days, it was straight talk about "jehovah", the "organization", the "bible", then, "how bad these times are", "can't wait to see someone dead in the new world" .

  Glad that's off your chest Skeeter. I feel sorry for those JWs, it sounds like they don't even give themselves a chance to relax, no wonder so many of them have mental problems.
