I had to laugh at this comment found in a news article regarding the convention

They don't know how close to the truth they really were.

Not only do the Brothers in the territory have to worry about treating the GB members to a level they expect but they need to be concerned that they will gossip about them (to their own friends) behind their backs.

As far as the types and antitypes issue, this is my understanding. They are not aboloshing the idea altogether, they still believe in types and antitypes but only where they bible is clear on the matter and directly refers to something being both a type and antitype. The GB member said there was only a few of these situations. Where the bible isn't clear in regards to an antitype it is wrong of them to say that there is. They mentioned that for a number of years now they have focused more on relating individuals to biblical persons and events.

Just tell them that you were stopped whilst coming back from the toilets and asked if you could volunteer for the rest of the day and just head off.
the jan. 1, 2015 w shows an updated printing of 52,946,000 copies each issue in 228 languages.. this is an increase of 7,002,000 copies per issue over last year, this is the biggest increase i have seen in the printing of the w per issue for any one year.
thus, including the study edition over 70 million copies of the w are now being printed each month.. .

We should be expecting them to have an increase. When they reduced the number of pages they said that this would allow them to transalte it into more languages. The increase would be due to the mags being printed in new langauges and being made available to individuals who would not have been recieving them before.

i have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.
They knew the generation teaching had failed and they had two choices, change the meaning of generation or change the start date of 1914. They were so determined to keep the start date that they performed mental acrobatics in coming up with their new definition of generation.
i was thinking about this last night, in the year book they publish the number or peak and average publishers.
as we know a publisher could simply be a child getting out in service regularly.
if two parents baptized have to small children that are publishers then they are counted as four.
They announced at this years annual meeting that they could now officially report that the number of JWs was now over the 8 million mark. The GB member couldn't contain himself when he was talking about the field service figures from August but the actual figures would take a little longer to calculate.
