NPGs (non practicing gays - I'd never heard the term before) were condemned - have to be transformed not just wear a mask. Wonder if they'll ever publish that one.
I can just imagine the sort of lectures the elder will give, with no understanding and being cold and bold. So how is the person going to demonstrate that they have been transformed? The most obvious way would be to marry a person of the opposite sex. This is a sick organization.

pg.9 should have the title: "victim blaming, not just for sexual crime now!".

Yet, “the poor,” the Bible says, “are not even threatened.” How can you benefit from that gem of wisdom? If you live in an area known for crime and violence or if you have to travel to such a place, do not attract attention to yourself by appearing to be affluent. Think carefully about what you wear and carry in public, especially if your possessions would be noticed.
It is good advice and advice you will find anywhere, we try do this when we travel to third world countries, looking more like backpackers. We can't do anything about speaking and looking like a local though.
What is annoying about the Awake comment is that they have taken the scripture out of context. The bible is discussing individuals who are in reality poor, not ones who appear to be.

Wal-Mart Workers Plan Huge Protest on Black Friday
by talesin inwal-mart, which pays a top wage of $12.00+ to its full-time employees, is under attack, once again, by its employees and those who would like to unionize them.. i can't speak to the usa, but here in canada, most wal-mart employees are not full time.
it is mostly a part-time employer, so zero benefits.
in my opinion, that makes the $12.00+ look a lot smaller when you envision the actual paycheque.

Yes, Talesin. I work 15 hours a week and we paid off our house 15 years ago so we don't pay any rent. I don't know about eating real food though, it is very hard to find, even most of the fruit and vegies from the Supermarket are pretty tastleless these days. I get the same basic benefits as a full time worker.
Both my husband and I have worked part time, by choice, throughout our working career.
I understand that a part time wage may not be enough for many to live on. I can't see why this would be a problem for most couples if they were both part timers.
I live in Australia and the employment laws we have here help to protect the worker and are seen to be reasonable. I would rather see all my children employed, even if it was part time than to see only half of them employed full time.

W 14 2/15
As anointed Christians finish their earthly course during Christ’s presence, they are resurrected to heavenly life. Sometime after the destruction of Babylon the Great, Jesus will gather to himself all the remaining members of the bride class. (1 Thess. 4:16, 17) Before the outbreak of the war of Armageddon , therefore, all members of the “bride” will be in heaven. After that war, the marriage of the Lamb can take place.

Is the Branch deleting AM3 talk from the branch visit?
by toweragent ini recently heard from someone that the elders received a letter stating it was being deleted from the stream site.
is this true?
any one heard of such a thing?.

I don't believe it was ever intended to put up the zone meeting on Tv jw org. The audience was told not to record it and to not even share personal notes with anyone, they would have announced then that it would be available on line at a later stage.

It shouldn't be more attractive for an employer to employ people part time. A part timer should have all the same benefits (pro rated) as a full time worker.
Surely it is a relatively good thing that there are so many partimers. It means that there are more people who actually have jobs. There are over 5 million part timers working at Walmart. If these were full time positions then there would be about 2 million of those 5 million part timers out of work.

Hoser
Wal mart brainwashes their employees though their morning worship program. Some of them seriously believe that Walmart is a good employer and that they would fail if they tried to go elsewhere
Sounds like the same stratedgy that the JW organization has and it works for them. The organization pays its workers even less.
Great Teacher
The US economy is built on it. It's perfectly legal to pay people $7.50 an hour. And that is just unacceptable.
Why blame Walmart, what they are doing is legal, there are always going to be people in vulnerable situations that willingly allow themselves to be taken advantage of. There will always be businesses that take advantage and care little about people.
It is the responsibility of the Government to ensure people are treated fairly. It has the ability to set the minimum wage at a higher rate. It chooses to subsidize employees on a low income rather than making businesses pay more.

The picture itself is pretty gloomy and overexagerated. There are two huge spikey and thorny weeds at the very front and on each side of the picture. It's not likely that you would see this scenery anywhere, it is unrealistic. There is no reason why they wouldn't add a few subliminal pictures in it as well.
