As a Dad of three daughters...I pray your BF is a young man of integrity and will treat you right... and his family are good folk.

he's a guy and upon request, he gave me his e-mail address so he could give me a yes or a no to my invitation to join us tonight for dinner.. after i asked him if he'd like to join us, he snickered and said i don't know.
give me a couple of hours to think about it.
i asked him four hours later if he had decided, yet, but he hadn't even thought about it yet.. i said that it's not a test question, no right or wrong answer.. he asked where and i said it's a nice place uptown.. he said that he needed to think about it because of the dress up thing.. i said he didn't need to dress up, that just slacks and a nice shirt would do.. that was two days ago, and i haven't heard back from him, yet, although i did e-mail him so he could let me know.. i'm the wheels for the evening, so i needed to know so i could pick him up, or not.. does no answer (seems like avoidance) mean no, or is there some other excuse that might (wanna say rescue his ass but won't say it) be plausible?.

my whole freaking family is still in.
i am 5th generation and i use to have tons and tons of "friends" that are still in.
when i was little my dad was co substitute for years so we got to travel alot and meet even more jws.

I have to tell you a story about John 1:1
I was 19, and our family was on vacation at the beach. My mom, a new JW, was telling me how great her new religion was and how wonderful this new Bible is...NWT. I said, "sure mom ...I'll check it out" and proceeded to the beach...GREEN Bible in hand.
I remember this like yesterday...I opened it up to John chapter 1.
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was...a god.
A red flag went up that very moment...that very first verse I read...somethings not right....
Anyway...I give John 1:1, and something in my spirit, all the credit for protecting me from the WT cult.

it has been a while since i have posted, but my husband and i frequently visit to see what the latest happenings are.. going on 3 years being out of the borg... and life is starting to feel normal.
halloween, birthdays and christmas; were starting to make our own traditions.
i rarely find myself thinking about the borg anymore and my tuesday nights come and go without me thinking that i use to go to meetings.

Just a idea about the family who shunns you....I used to pummel my family with "Apostate Literature " and everything else that exposes
the Mind Control Cult...that just drove them further away. Perhaps it planted some seeds.
Years have gone by...Now I killem with Peace, Love, Joy...I ignore the WT rules....I send them Birthday cards, Christmas cards, ...I send my mom flowers and candy.
I write nice notes about how we are doing...and I always ask about them...I always tell them I miss them and invite them to visit.
Love seems to be cracking the walls...things are improving...warms my heart.

so today was my first sunday meeting that i didn't go with my wife.
as an update she has decided not to move out right now...because she doesn't have anywhere to go.
but she is giving me the silent treatment.
