  washington -- a narrowly divided supreme court ruled monday that police can collect dna from people arrested but not yet convicted of serious crimes, a tool that more than half the states already use to help crack unsolved crimes.. this dna sample will of course go into a huge database similar to fingerprints.. .

  Parents are up in arms in Polk County, Florida, because their children were subject to an iris scan without getting acceptable parental permission. The iris scans are part of a new security program being put in place in an elementary school, grade school and high school by Stanley Convergent Security Systems, reports Reuters’ Mike Blake.

  Daniel Jenkins Academy, Bephune Academy and Davenport School of the Arts parents received a letter in the mail informing them of the new EyeSwipe-Nano Program. The letter stated that if parents would prefer their child not be a part of the program they should contact the child’s principal.

  I remember some sci-fi from fifty years ago about id chips being implanted in every newborn. Seems a short step from just gathering the newborns DNA at birth.

  has this happened to anyone else?

  you invite the co for dinner (or some other thing) and they say they cannot.

  i can understand why, i suppose, since depending on how popular they are, maybe they have to turn down some invites to have personal time, but still wondering how common that is..

  i made an effort to plow thru the latest bullsh*t from the wts in regard to the faithful slave, etc.

  i must admit that, their latest set of interpretations make more sense than formerly.

  they seem to have done away with 4-6 different 'comings' of jesus and they pretty much stuck everything in the future, so they are off the hook in the present.

  They will probably end up with a former CEO of a Fortune 500 company who will come in and subcontract the toilet paper production to Bangladesh and the writing to the screenwriters guild. Then he can concentrate on maximizing the core real estate assets.

  The GB will be put in clean diapers and trotted out for PR appearances. Kind of like the British monarchy.

  Why elders' wives are such gossipers...

  i have a theory as to why elders' wives gossip so much.

  i believe a big part of it has to do with the conversation running dry (between themselves and their elder husbands) after so many years of marriage.

  since they don't get to spend too much "quality time" together (because of the elder husband's hamster wheel schedule), when they do have some intimate time alone, the elder's wives will invaribly attempt to engage their husbands in any kind of interchange.

  My uncle was a cong. servant and then elder for about 50 years. He told my aunt everything and she told my grandmother and my grandmother told my mother, etc. We often knew who was getting DF'd and why before the announcement to the cong.

  i will admit that i have joined two a little while back just to see what kind of a response i would get.

  it is so difficult to meet new people in that: 1) work - there are now 4 men in all - 2 married old cronies and 2 younger guys that are just a no.

  2) i have a lot of gay friends so when we go shake our bom boms it's usually at a gay club - 99.9% of the men there are gay 3) friends of friends are usually involved.

  .....after 8 years of us being disfellowshipped.

  the made contact through my aunt who is still 'in' - as in she has faded but is not disfellowshipped and will pop to a meeting now and again - she does this for my grans' sake.. the contact was from my aunt and uncle (he's an elder) these were the 2 witnesses used against me in my judicial case.

  they contacted my aunt and said to forward the message onto us.

  Lou. You're script above is excellent. But, I agree with ham, don't meet with them. Write your above statement and send it, email, or on paper.

  Rehearsing a tense, once in a lifetime confrontation will not go as you imagine it.

  Ps it may be difficult, but i would not tell them anything regarding your personal financial situation. None of their goddam business
