  google_ad_section_start hi everyone, i am just new to this site and thanks for a very dear friend that has encouraged me to post my story and would love to hear feedback from all you out there xx.

  this is my story.

  we were introduced to the religion in 1982, not soon after we were unbaptized publishers (a bit to soon for me even at that age) i really didnt miss the celebrations as much as were werent that well off and my parents worked 6 days a week to pay the bills.

  Thanks for sharing your story. I'm not at all surprised by how you've been treated by the congregation and the elders. Just put away the guilt they've loaded onto you all your life, and be happy that you're now free. The experience might have made you feel like you need to distance yourself from your kids, or put up a barrier. Don't give in to this! They've constantly harrassed you, you've done nothing wrong! Take back your life!

  The Elders are nothing more than jumped-up little Napoleons who relish their own self-importance and power.

  First official shunning was AWESOME

  we went to target this weekend to look at halloween costumes for the kiddos (and maybe me - i'm still a kid at heart).

  my daughter and i were walking down a main aisle when an ex-friend - the very one who testified that i refused to discuss my doubts - came out of a side aisle and almost turned our direction.

  we made eye contact and i gave him a nod as we continued to walk toward him.... but he stopped like he'd run into a brick wall, then turned and started walking with his back to us so that we didn't cross paths.. my daughter pipes up and says, "hey, daddy, isn't that [edit]??

  Tim,

  You should totally get dressed up with a Leatherface or Jason mask, and take your wife and kid trick or treating to all your ex-jw friends houses just to piss them off. Make sure all your faces are covered. See if anybody opens the door to 'Witness' to you. If they give you the courtesy of opening the door and giving you the spiel, just whip off your mask and say, 'okay, I understand. See you around'. That will totally eff them off.

  Fear and the Watchtower

  i was afraid of all the things that satan could do to me and use to influence me.

  i was recently thinking about how strong my mom was about dungeons and dragons.. now, i never had a desire to get into the whole role-playing thing.

  The old PS2 game Baldur's Gate is along similar lines. It's not as involved, and much more fast moving. I can thoroughly recommend it. Unfortunately you can't summon fire from Jehovah to scorch Goblins asses. Shame, then it would be a tad theocratic.

  evidently the 'boys' haven't gotten all their ducks in a row before printing the book!.

  they have issued another boe ltr (will have late sunday or early monday) regarding wedding procedure and scriptural freedom to remarry!.

  the ltr is dated oct 12, 2010 (so if anybody has a copy already post it or send it to me and i will post it).

  To save monet the WT$ should just print books with the offences listed, then have bullet points underneath that they can tick (with pencil) weekly or monthly, according to new light received like this---

  • Disfellowshipping offence
  • Public reproval offence
  • severe telling off offence
  • Loss of privileges
  • Loss of testicles
  • Light spank on the bare bottom with watchtower

  Why a Movement to Stop Jehovah's Witnesses Doesn't Make Sense

  frequently, i see angry departing jw's want to stop someone from going through the experience they have had.

  people dying because of their horrible and contradictory blood doctrines, the protection of child molesters in their midst, who wouldn't want to destroy all of that.. the reality though is pretty simple.

  as an organization, jw's are far from the only ones who systematically practice the use and abuse of people for their own groups benefits.. can you get rid of one?

  It's a pity that nobody's tried to file a huge lawsuit against the society for ruined lives, re: Not saving for a pension, Not going to college, Not having transfusions/transplants, paedophilia, taking crap jobs to pioneer and deciding to not start a family. I think the only real cast-iron winners there are paedo cases. They money won would certainly not bring down the Org.

  If only some of the writing department woke up, and gently massaged the masses' Bullshit radar with some subtle hints.

  I think maybe the internet information is the only thing that's helping some to wake up, as they Org's carefully re-writing their history and relegating old books.

  Sounds like you've had to put up with a lot of unneccessary bullcrap from your mum. I'm sorry for what you've gone through, but it actually probably did you a lot of favours. Your sisters have seen all the craziness coming from your mum, and not you. They obviously know the score, and are making the right decisions for themselves. Keep in close contact with your sisters, and before you know it, they'll be safe too.

  while an earlier version was made available privately the time has come to 'progress'.. conscious class and ex both strongly adhere to not keeping things 'hidden' in regards to wts publications, talks and documents which are circulated in order to maintain it's position.. another wonderful poster (who has yet to give me permission to name) has 'reduced' and 'bookmarked' the first full copy link i was given by our 'winner'.. in this newest and final 'clean' copy link you find two other additions besides the reduction/bookmarking..... the brother who uploaded the entire book wishes all to have a copy that includes both boe ltrs (pre-ks ltr and spiral binding ltr).

  also another development has occurred.... the brother responsible for this book being brought into light and put forth for public consumption and discussion has requested i post this letter explaining to 'us' (jwn posters/global audience) and 'them' (wts of penn & ny).. i ask you give attention to his words/ experiences as he is representative of a newly emerging demographic within the conscious class.

  Well done Brother Johnson. You are a credit to your god, your congregation, to your fellow man. It was disgraceful what the GB put in their talk about long-serving brothers being murmurers. I really hope the folks at Bethel read this one, and it brings them to their senses too.

  Let's all keep this post bubbling away at the top of the forum. It's so important, and so heartfelt.
