it seems in the recent weeks those sites became "overrun" with apostates and were no longer encouraging.

If God truly loved humans...why not reveal himself ? So that they could make an informed decision ?

we learn from the bible that god spoke to adam ,then certain faithful ones,then after moses only the preisthood that was established,and individuals, raised as prophets,and this by the way is only a a small select group on the planet.never mind about other groups of humans.

fastforward to the era of christ ,again, god is only dealing with a small select group to advise and admonish.during the time from moses to christ he was only dealing with what became one small nation.the rest of humankind were left to their own devices.fastforward down to this 21st century we have no guidance/instruction/prophets to instruct or guide us.

( i know this is where jw`s would say but we have been preaching & teaching you god`s truths since 1879 ) all i can say their, is take your head out of the sand and look at all the changes ,corrections adjustments,re-adjustments,reversals,and failed expectations of prophecy you have published over this last century )so as to my question why hasn`t the god of the universe revealed himself to all humans of every race on all continents instead of just a small select group, if he truly was interested in the human race.

It would be infinitely easy for 'god' to have an intimate relationship with each one of us, and talk to us directly every day, as he did with Adam. What makes us any different? Are we any less important? Does he love us any less?

In my opinion the issue of faith is total BS. If god existed, he'd certainly want to talk to us, the same way a parent is concerned about their own children and talks/nags to them.

But apparently god has other things to do with his time, some of the new X-box games are too kick-ass, apparently.

i've got hundreds of films, with all the obvious choices.

Just want to say thanks to everyone for their contributions. I'm in the process of downloading a lot of these that I haven't got. I'll list some of my favourite films, and see if you get the flavour of the kind of stuff I like. If they remind you of anything similar, please let me know!

3, I had a friend that successfully committed suicide. All the reasons they did it resolved themselves soon after. It isn't a solution. You have the potential to enjoy a wonderful life. Look at all the people who have responded to you. We care. At least give us a chance to help you.

I use photoshop in my line of work and do retouching. Some things seem odd to me. The light source is coming in from the top right, as the shadow falls over the left of da Judge's face. However, if you look at the second bottle from the left, it seems that the shadow is falling over the right side of the bottle, with the highlight on the left. It does look a little odd when you look at his pose. The hands are a bit wrong. The light source comes in from the right, and the right hand shouldn't be so 'bleached out', as it would be hit by the shadow from the column/curtain on the right. Da Judge was a big fat man, so I think he should be sitting higher up in his chair, and impose slightly over his desk. The right hand seems somehow twisted, and is a bit too far to the right. Any discrepancies on paper grain are inconclusive.

Having said all that, the image is of such poor quality, it's very difficult to tell. It's 50-50 whether it's a fake or not. Don't rule it out.

I could make a much better forgery than this. Anyone wanna send me some pics?

Okay, I've remembered something. I was once out on FS and this hot chick answers the door in a bath robe that wasn't tied up. (she wasn't aware of it). I tried to make my presentation with my tongue paralysed. It didn't work.

That was the Single Most enjoyable thing in my 15 years as a Witless.

i just wondered whether it's something that is used by the leadership as a means of control, or whether it's simply a concept that grew legs and took off on its own?

JW sister tells me about 1975- amnesia strikes again!

she came in the jw world in 1966 with her mother- she was 6 years old.

she graduated from high school in 1976. during the 90 minutes i spent with her yesterday, she mentioned that the org never said the end was coming in 1975-" it was just a few who said that and they all left after 1976- which was good- because jah needed to cleanse the kh of all who were serving with just a date in mind.. i asked her, "don't you remember the assembly talk from 1969 or 1970, where the speaker said, "stay alive until 75"- no she didn't remember.. i explained that our kh had a co tell us from the platform," brothers there is only 18 months left until armageddon- wow, she exclaimed.. i continued my story, "the po's 16 year old son quit school in 1974- to become a regular pioneer- he was held up as a fine example in the cong- and used as an example at a circuit assembly that year of someone who putting jehovah's work first.

didn't you have some who quit school to pioneer back then?".
