the april 1st issue of the watchtower invites those who have some 'serious concealed sin' to report to the "loving christian elders".. it reminds the r&f that they (the elders) "will not treat lightly your desire to experience the restoration of a good relationship with your heavenly father".

as an ex-jw its sometimes difficult to provide neutral information on jehovahs witnesses and the watchtower society.
on the internet there is a bulk of information available provided by former members and religious organizations that are anti-jw.
on my site i have also many articles that are critical towards the jws.

Rado is running a great site, and many of us are interested in what's going on. The fact someone like you don't give a flying shit doesn't change anything at all.
I believe nobody who doesn't run a big website has a clue how many hours going into keeping the site updated, and Rado's site is one of the good ones online. Therefore, it's always a site I try to check out every now and then - especcially when new things happens.
Naturally, Rado could make a mailinglist and send messages to people who asks for it, but what's wrong in informing others as well? The fact that someone like "avengers" doesn't like it doesn't matter much.
If I can give you an advice - stop reading postings by Rado - Randy Watters, myself and others that do have websites. The posting just MIGHT tell you about something new we have done or posted - and if you do check out something you could learn something as well.
And you wouldn't like that, would you? Who knows, it might hurt!

Well, maybe you look upon it as “unprovoked”, but reading what Tallyman said, I’d say he was provoked. Facts are too many people are trying to make lots of money on others misery and “happiness” is sold for billions every year. Religious zealots, political lunatics, psychiatrists, fortune tellers and “New-Age” healers are doing a lot of damage to people already beaten up. The general idea that someone will achieve “more success in every aspect of your life” by reading a book – no matter if it’s sold or given away – is highly overrated, to say it the least.
I have given away far more copies of my book than I have ever sold. I have offered my book free of charge here in this forum several times to those who would like to read it. Many have taken me up on it, and I have shipped it at my own expense around the world.
Maybe so, I don’t say you haven’t done that. And I don’t really think that’s what provoked Tallyman either. Take a look at what he’s really saying:

It’s a fact there is a lot of vulnerable people on this site, just like Tallyman say, and because of that he reacts to the fact that people are advertising how to get MOTIVATED and EMPOWERED and BUILD SELF-ESTEEM for hard cash on a site like this.
Personally I haven’t read your book, and I therefore can’t say anything pro or con the content or the advices you give people to be “more success filled in every aspect of life” – but I have to admit I’m generally rather skeptical to contentions like that. Facts of life tells us most people aren’t “great successes” – even though I’m sure everybody would like to be a staggering success in everything from personal relations to business-life.
I guess I don’t agree in your claim that Tallyman attacked you “unprovoked” – because primary claims like the ones you’re promoting can be provocative to a lot of people – me included.
But, as I said – I don’t know your book. IF you learn what you claim – I’m amazed the book isn’t a staggering success. According to yourself you have to give it away.
This could be because of your good heart and a pure will to help others.
This could also be because the book doesn’t stand further investigation into facts.

You know if the government took away freedom of religion, (which is just whats going to happen at the great tribulation), so we could not believe in Jehovah, I'm sure you would probably die from boardom. And further more, when the end comes, you will be sorry. And when those freedoms are gone, there goes your precious web site right out the window, so to speak. At least we have something to live for, someone to love...God, and faith that lets us live moral, clean lives. And if there was a Jehovahs Witness that was convicted of child abuse, I'm sure the truth just wasn't in his heart. Because "Anyone who loves any part of this world... the love of the father is not in him." This is why I am studying to be a Jehovahs Witness, and why someone like you will never change my heart!

First of all I was born and raised a JW. At the age of 16 I chose to not continue in the religion because I didn't have all of the same opinions they did. I was disfellowshipped shortly after I had come to the fact that I didnt want to be a JW anymore. I attend a not deponinal church and am very happy as much as I do not want to be a JW I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER talk bad about them they are not a cult just a religion and it is wrong and un godly to tear down anyone who worships god even if it is in there own way I am according to JW a wordly person and will die if i dont choose to go back to the religion I dont believe that but that gives me NO right to slander their name and their beliefs. Be carefully what you do you are not to judge them GOD is the only one to judge. Wasting your time slandering them is only going to kill you in the end cause even if they are wrong GOD will not forgive someone who slanders people who are worshiping him it may be in their own way and it may not be the way you want but they are not forcing you to believe them so ignore them dont slander them GOD will eventually take all the wrong out of this world and if you are not carefull and if you focus on things other than serving him the best that you can you might not be around to see what god has planned I am not here to bash you or preach to you in anyway but rememeber its their lives not yours Love Always Rachel

I wish I could say this story is a rare event, but it's not. The Watchtower keeps family members hostages, and that's why about 30% of the so called JWs are still JWs.
The day they stop this policy - they will have a real helthy decrease - and they can't afford that. It's about a lot of money, and money is what makes this organization go round - as every other multi national corporation.
Hang in there! As long as you're around you have the oportunity to let your children hear the other side of the story. Why should you deny them being kids? Why deny them the fun of having parties, celebrate birth-days etc?
With your help they might escape the living hell of growing up as a JW. Ask me - I've done it!
