  luke 23:43 - and jesus said to him, "positively i say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.

  nwt places comma here , giving a totally different meaning to the verse.

  now the average jw uses this to back their doctrine and it seems in itself virtually impossible to reason with them on it.

  there is a rather obscure statement in acts 2:34 that specifies that "david himself never ascended to heaven".

  the obvious question that arises from this remark is -- who ever believed that david ascended to heaven?

  to answer this, we need to look where else but to the pseudepigrapha.

  hello people, i would like to know the take the jw's have on this bit of scripture taken from the kjv of luke 16; 22-23..... 22 and it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into abraham's bosom: the rich man also died and was buried;.

  23 and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth abraham afar off, and lazarus in his bosom.. will someone tell me the spill on this piece of scripture?

  in your jw upbringings, any other funny, weird or mad school time experiences to share, where there seemed great conflicts of interest, and again, how did these make you feel?

  JW/'Heretic' interpretation of 'Lazarus in Hell'

  apart from my biblical belief of a resurrection of all ever borned without conditions, the philosophical look on the fall of man, differences in the endtimes and anti legalistic views, i'm jw to people although i'm really a biblestudent.

  a guy on another board filled with 'heresy' asked me of a jw interpretation of the lazarus story, maybe some will like this; .

  nothing in old testament back up either immortal soul or torment in hell.
