I know I have been out and probably mostly everyone here enjoyed my "departure." But.. I have been "sent back" to speak with reference to Jason's thread.

Although we have not spoken too much, actually very briefly, I am compelled to respond to your post regarding "the truth."

Remember when our Lord was on the earth and he designated 70 to preach saying 'The kingdom of God has drawn near?' Well, keep in mind that when he sends us out.. he said

"Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Many of the house of Israel are here at this board. If the spirit sent you here to share the truth with them.. then just post that truth up. Those that are his sheep will HEAR HIS VOICE. All we do is put it out there. Let them make a decision as to whether they want to "hear or refrain."

Remember, this is not "our will." It is his will. So if the holy spirit sent you here.. give them the truth. If they don't want it.. they will not take it. For those who are asking, will KEEP asking. Don't leave this site until you KNOW that holy spirit says to you .. "that's enough." Like Paul.. he preached the truth to the Jews regardless as to whether they asked him for it or not. Paul did not stop speaking to them UNTIL Jesus told him.. "I have other work for you to do." And remember, even after he was sent to the nations, the Lord eventually told him to "go back to Jerusalem" to speak to the rulers.

We go wherever the spirit tells us to go. And when we go.. we are to "speak as we hear" for what we teach is not ours anyways. It belongs to him that sent us. All we are, are "mouths" that speak only what the holy spirit tels us to say ... 'in the hour that we say it.'

so if you have the truth, just speak it. Let those hearing, hear, and let those refraining "refrain." Whatever you hear Jesus whisper to you, PREACH ON THE HOUSE-TOPS.

Don't think badly of him, he was just doing what he was 'commissioned' to do. Listen to what he says, give him a chance. If you don't like it.. or if you do, its your decision. I don't know if he's going to start preaching the "truth" now.. but if he does, converse on that.

I only spoke breifly with him.. so if you want to "link" me up as one of him.. you might want to hear what he says first BEFORE you do that. He, like ANY ONE OF YOU, are my brothers. And I would do the same for you.. seeing that a 'few' have done it for me.

you are 100% correct that the 'angel of the Lord' and Michael said the EXACT same thing, namely, "The Lord rebuke you."

Actually.. it is not. Telling someone that they will be rebuked is NOT a rebuke. That is called a 'warning' OF a rebuke. It is the LORD who DOES rebuke. For instance, if you and I were disputing, and I said "May your mom punish you," does that mean I just punished you? Of course not! I have no 'authority' to punish you, but your mom does. It is the same here. Michael did not rebuke the Adversary, it was the Lord who did and will do it.

you are VERY close. He said the same way it happened with Moses, it happened with Abraham, and Jacob, and John. the key phrase that you said was:

Jesus was not known as the angel of the Lord.... Michael was. Looking in Revelaton 1:1,2 it says:

"A revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs THROUGH HIM to his slave John."

When God, our Father spoke to Moses, ... God's words were given to Jesus Christ who called out to Moses through his angel in the burning bush to his slave Moses. God words were given to Jesus Christ who spoke to Abraham through HIS angel to his "friend" Abraham. He is the Word of God. In Joshua... the same thing. Jesus' angel that spoke to Abraham, Moses, John, was Michael.. the "PRINCE of YOU people".. Israel.

Remember .... no one stands strongly with Jesus Christ in matters regarding the chosen ones of God EXCEPT Michael, their prince. Both Michael and Jesus are the ones 'assisting Abraham's seed.'

Scales of Justice

this being my first proper post i wanted to raise a question that i asked of an elder.

the only response i received was that i was questioning god.

when i pressed further i was accused of being an apostate.

God gave his only-begotten Son to the world so that everyone believing in him would not die, but have everlasting life.

The Father knew if he gave his Son, that the world would kill him. He knew this, and his Son knew this. His Son, however, was willing to die for them, so that they may have everlasting life. So the Father loved his Son for loving the world. So the Father, also, out of love for the world gave his only-begotten Son. His Son, "surrendered" his soul in behalf of all those believing in Him.

This wasn't about 'balancing the scales' of justice, but about the world being saved through the Son. The world did NOT deserve this and it is evident by the fact that when he came into the world, the "world HATED him."

Still, the Father loved, even them so that they too MIGHT live forever. In addition, Christ will send (and has sent) the holy spirit into the WORLD. All people, everywhere recieved a 'conviction' by holy spirit concerning sin, righteousness, and judgement.

Sin, because they didn't believe in him, righteousness, because he went his way to the Father, and judgement, because their ruler has been judged. All have heard this and for those who have completely forgotten this 'message' from the holy spirit, the holy spirit will "bring BACK to their minds ALL the things it told them."

Those in other countries, have 'law' written within themselves. And they all know, that if they "break the law" wirtten within, they will have to "render an account" to someone, somewhere. Those who have 'forced' this understanding out of their head .. will hear it again when the holy spirit "brings it BACK to their minds."

if getting babtised is just an act you do to let people know you have dedicated your life to jehovah and you are serving him, then isn't getting married also a public display that you have decided to bond with this person and you want all to know.. so the question is why is it considered fornication if you have sex with this person before your actual marriage ceremonies?

Hi Big Jim,

First... Baptism was not designed for that purpose. The purpose of getting baptized is because you want forgiveness of your sins and you wish to recieve the free gift of holy spirit.

Acts 2:38

Jesus' baptism was for the purpose of recieving holy spirit and carrying out the last portion of his 'work' God assigned him. (For he was dedicated since birth)

JWs baptize you to identify you as one of them and that you guarantee them your 'association' with their spirit directed organization. Something that never appears in the scriptures.

Matthew 28:19

Second ... the Greek word for "fornication" is 'por'neia.' In the dictionary ... 'fornicate' is defined as "fornicari" ... "to consort with prostitutes." It gives another definiton "brothel" which means "house of harlots, house of prostitution."

The word 'pornography' breaks down to 'porne' + 'graphos' which is "harlot + writings."

"Fornication" is therefore defined as 'works of prostitution' or 'consorting with prostitutes.

Sex before marriage would not necessarily be considered an "act of prostitution." For prostitutes have intercourse for the purpose of recreation, money, and satisfaction.

The Mother of the Harlots is called a "Harlot" because she commits "fornication" or 'prostituion' with the kings of the earth.

Although you are "correct" in inviting them to your church to understand YOUR beliefs, shouldn't your PEROGATIVE be to invite them to the Lord? Then let the Lord TEACH them "all things" so that they don't need YOU or the church to be teaching them ANYTHING?

At Pentacost ..... Peter did not "invite people to the church" but rather, he EXHORTED them to get baptized SO THEY CAN RECIEVE HOLY SPIRIT and thus recieve Christ HIMSELF. He let Christ "teach them ALL things" so that they will not need Peter to be "teaching them" anything.

Leading people to a "church" is not leading people to Christ, but a "church." Jesus never told us to lead people to any church nor "his church." He said "Come to ME" "Listen to MY voice."

Quit "searching the scriptures" (like Jesus told you) that bear witness ABOUT Christ, and GO TO the REAL thing, Christ.

Genesis: Waters and Expanse

just a little niggle i have:.

in genesis 1:6-10 it talk of how the 'waters' were divided into upper and lower with an expanse in between.

this expanse became known as 'heaven', the waters underneath the heaven became the foundation of earth.
