I confirm it too. I think it was in a circuit convention somewhere in 2008 and if I am not mistaken, the theme of the convention was something like "Jehovah, the great potter". Or something like that.

Demonstrations From the Platform
by DarioKehl ingood evening, all.... still relatively new here so if i'm posting about a topic that's already been run into the ground, i apologize.
but i just wanted to acknowledge the typical "demo" we all see at meetings, assemblies and conventions.
even back when i was a good-goody teen dub, my brother, friends and i would jokingly refer to demos as "5-minute illustrations on how to say 'no.'".

Belief in the Afterlife - where do you sit on the scale?
by jgnat ini am three-quarters through the book, the time paradox: the new psychology of time that will change your lifeby philip zimbardo and john boyd.
it is taking longer than usual because i am earnestly applying the exercises as they appear in the book.
which means i have to be ready to change my habits...but enough about me.. zimbardo's argument throughout the book is that a person's time perspective deeply impacts their choices and their ability to be happy.

Yes, it is. Other requirements are: wear magic panties, mumble in tongues, worship the cross, deny evolution, believe in the Flood, believe in fantasy-books, believe that Jesus is Jay Hoover, hate the Smurfs, do not eat or transfuse blood, hate any non-believer, believe in Hell, believe that Satan is guilty for every bad thing you do, do not masturbate, do not fornicate, and especially contribute money to your religion.

ark of covanant... idol worship?
by chase inwhat was the difference between priests communicating with the ark and the pillar that daniel and co. refused to worship?.
-
DagothUr
I don't know if it's a official doctrine of the JW, but these kind of stuff were explained to me this way:
The Israelites worshipped the Ark during their transition period, from the Egyptian gods to Jay Hoover. They were idolaters and Jay Hoover used the Ark as a sort of pacifier, in order to make them suck from his tits.

News on Prince
by blondie inwill prince and ballerina live happily ever after?by c.j., star tribune.
last update: february 19, 2011 - 11:14 pm.
0diggsdiggmore from c.j.prince has a new love interest, a ballerina, who is being described as "his first sister since sheila e"bymediatakeout.comif misty copeland, of american ballet theatre fame, is really prince's new lady, the first thing that i noticed is that she's a baby.

Prince is a good example of double-standard appliance. He can do things we could not do and still remain a JW. He's a special case, a PR facade. If they DF him because he dated an unbeliever and went to court her without chaperones, all the newspapers would write about that and everyone would know about their stupid religious doctrines. We were not allowed that kind of liberty.
