What was the last meeting you ever went to?
by lilbluekitty ini figured out it's been 4 months and 5 days since my last meeting ever.
july 10th, it was a sunday.
i hadn't been there in 2 months or so and decided to see if anyone noticed i'd been gone.

I don't remember what was the last meeting i went to, it could have been the Sunday Public Talk/WT.
I was treated like 2nd class...as usual
Reason for being my last: lack of love transportation
I was in car group, but the driver was given more borg responsibilities. So occasionally, everyone had to find a ride.
Sadly only a few people from the KH were able to give us a ride once in a while.
Then eventually, I was expected to walk 2 miles to the KH and 2 miles back home - even if it was cold and raining outside. Afterall, "our brothers and sisters in Africa walk hours to their meetings."
So much for taking care of the sheep.

Are You Afraid To Die Alone?
by minimus ini know of someone that is concerned that she will be all alone when she dies.. are you afraid to die alone??
?.

Most likely no, since most of my friends and family don't want anything to do with me after I left.
So I'm learning to enjoy my own solitude.

Yes, it was called "Cake Night" in my area. I was lucky enough to be assigned to the book study group that had it every month. Someone once brought a cake that read "For everyone but [elder's name]." The elder of that book study had a sense of humor and laughed. Then the book study groups were stopped and so did cake nights. I missed those since it was interesting to see what others brought and it was fun to bring surprises.

The lady in the video was pretty bold, it takes a lot of guts to stand up to an armed robber.

Uber Dub wants to have dinner....
by outsmartthesystem inok. the good news is that my wife has eased up on the whole "talking it out with the elders" thing.
she now insists that she is doing her"own independent research with unbiased materials" on some subjects.
unbiased?

Well if you end up with the 2nd option, you can use these scriptures about not judging others: Matthew 7:1-5, Luke 6:37, Romans 14:1-4, and Romans 14:10-12.

Did you fake underlining the WT?
by shepherd ini read on another topic " i remember when i used to carry microphones years ago in the jw cult- only about 30 % had their wt's pre-studied, the rest just wing it i truly believe" and it reminded me that people will assume you are not familiar with the material if you have not underlined, and that there will always be those who observe the lack of ink and consider you must be unprepared (and so 'weaker' than them).. many times i used to fake prestudy just for that reason.
its easy to do, underline a random sentence or 2 in each paragraph or the sited scripture.
you can wizz through an entire article in 3 minutes....did anyone else do that?.

I used to, but many witnesses gave me counsel saying that just underlining was not good enough. So i took a step above and wrote out the scriptures in the margins in tiny handwriting. Then some witnesses would actually read stuff off my WT. After the meeting, they would tell me that studying involves more than underlining and copying the scriptures. So my next solution: underline and write scriptures and comments in another language in the margins. Good thing no one in the Kingdom Hall knew how to read Swedish and Japanese...bwahahaha!
Fake underlining was better with a highlighter. Very bright and noticable!
I wish I could have done that before, but I probably would get complaints that I'm using too much highlighter.

Cosplay?
by BlackTwisted indo any of you cosplay out there?if so or not, what would you cosplay as?
and who did you cosplay as?.
also...are jehovah witnesses allowed to cosplay...?

Well I used to. My first cosplay was Mitsuko Souma from Battle Royale. I've never cosplayed at conventions, so i did this in my house. Then I made 2 big mistakes: taking pictures of my costume and posting them on Flickr and giving my dub friends my email address. Eventually one of them stumbled on my Flickr site and saw the cosplay pictures, then ratted me out.
So i got in trouble for: the cosplay (the skirt was too short), idolatry (glorifying a murderer and promoting violence), and watching an R-rated movie. I forced to delete the pictures from Flickr, but i still have copies. Since that incident, I've never cosplayed again. Other than that, I've never met any witness cosplayers.
Now that I'm out, I decided to give cosplay another chance.
Current Projects: redo Mitsuko Souma cosplay and Isaac Clarke (Dead Space)
I'm starting to have a thing for mask cosplays, it gives me the feeling of anonymity.
