Appreciation
by ranmac ina couple years ago i wouldnt have even fathomed the idea of joining a forum like this.
just want to say that i appreciate the free flow of ideas, and the open mindedness of most members and the intolerance of suppressed and unsupported ideologies of jw's and anti-jw's as well.
keep the logic flowing!.

DEMONS
by Band on the Run ingrowing up in the fifties and sixties, stories of demonic possession were prevalant in the watchtower and awake.
i was terrified.
we were told they would bother you if you were faithful, but also if you fell away.

Thinking of writing a letter
by ranmac inforgive me if this has been touched on many times before.. i was wondering if anyone has actually written the society requesting their response/justifications to the many discrepencies and flaws in their doctrine and history, such as failed/altered dates and prophesies, pyramidology, beth sarim, lack of transparency, economic and political ties to the world, how they no more than archeologists, biblical contradictions, etc, etc..... if so, what was their response?.

Why do I keep digging?
by ranmac init didnt take a lot of independant research, along with a life full of ridiculous experiences in the religion, to realize that the organization and its gb are just another religion focused on control and conformity.
so why do i keep digging into the insanity and contradictions that they're based on.
i think i know why, just want to hear how others feel..

JW teens question
by mutinyinheaven ini've been out for 11 years and working on an assignment of what jw teens are into now, stuff that's seen as borderline where they can participate, but only to an extent.. an example pre-internet: we could skateboard, but couldn't be punk rock, so we hung out with the punk rockers at skate ramps and our parents didn't know.. what are the jws saying regarding:.
facebook.
internet porn.

If you don't give a s**t about celebrating, feel free to post here.
by VampireDCLXV ini'll just come out and say it... i don't give a f**k about my birthday.
it's only a painful reminder that i'm one year closer to my grave.
i'm not here to pick a fight with those who do celebrate.

haven't officially walked away from the cult over a year ago (had been trying to apply a slow fade over a number of years) and now being able to think clearly, i can truly say that organized religion is the epitome of man's arrogance and ignorance.
