I just click on something that sounds interresting to me. Once I'm on the thread, I like to learn new things, discover new ideas. Smart posters that have common sense. But the best part is when I find myself laughing OUT LOUD!!!!!!!

by cult classic inmy 2nd-time widowed fil is remarrying this summer at the age of 73. his fiancee is a never-before-married woman in her mid-50s with one adult son.
his children are pretty mad about the upcoming nuptials.
they feel the woman is a gold digger.

A Major Break Through!
by headisspinning ini just wanted to let you all know that i have had a major break through with my mom.. we have hashed everything out and she not only apologized for hurting us, but she also said she understands why we've made the decisions that we've made.. and best of all?
she is going to try to help us both get our kids back.. she had no idea of all the stuff going on with our ex spouses and she's very upset about it.. she said that she accepts where we are at in regard to the religion and although she does hope we might change our minds down the road, she just wants us to be happy.. at this point she still feels she needs to respect the disfellowshipping arrangement and i'm not pressuring her about that.
after all, rome wasn't built in a day and i would say major progress has been made here.. just wanted to let you guys know where things are at right now and a big thank you for all of your support, advice and care through this ordeal..

i'll give him that much.. talented opposite: this is tough because prop comedy is deader than ghenkis khan.

by flipper insorry for the redundancy of this being the 3rd article out of this magazine i've made a thread on- but i felt it was important to share these quotes from the aricle titled " make your way successful - how ?
" i think you'll see the extreme dissing of higher education here and guilt tactics used to discourage jw members from getting a college education or earning a decent living.. under the subheading " higher education " ?
it states, " a christian has a scriptural obligation to care for his family, and that includes providing for their material needs.

Flipper, there they go again saying in so many words....Don't listen to your parents.. you dont have to fulfill their aspirations for you....just OUR aspirations for you.... well Jehovahs (Same thing) Same articlle also in so many words....Don't listen to your parents if they think your to young to be baptized. WOW both in the same June 15 WT Read between the lines.......and thats what I'm hearing ! People I know that are highly educated work less, have more vacation time, and retire at a early age if they so desire. Who are they kidding!!!! Nobody here lol

Yes....went back and read the whole article . Snowbird and Lovelytlil. your soooo right. Did you notice how they thought it was fitting that he die in Oct.
What's up with that? Jw are still hung up on the month of Oct. And talk about hero worship....and that guy laying on him all night to keep him warm, face to face no less. It was so pleasurable......to remove his shoes.......pleasurable???????

I have all six of his studies in the scriptures. The first one is kind of interesting, the rest not so much. I heard his wife helped him with the first book.
As far as the toga thing,maybe he just wanted to be comfortable. I know when I'm sick I want to get out of my street clothes, and get in my nice comfey P.J.s........but then again didn't he have any night clothes with him? ummmmm

June 15th WT - WT Society Pressures JW Parents to Indoctrinate Children
by flipper inin a non-study article in the jw only watchtower is an article titled " should youths get baptized ?
" the wt society is losing young people in very large numbers - so how else to try stemming the exodus than putting pressure on jw parents to indoctrinate and instill mind control into their children ?
in one section here in this article it almost sounds like a version of " 20 questions " that the wt society asks parents to determine if their children are making " spiritual progress " as they phrase it.

IMO the Jw now beleive in infant baptism...What is the difference between 6 months or 6 years?..What ever happened to following Jesus example? Pick and choose ....we will follow Jesus example in this matter...but not on this matter.....house to house Yes, baptism NO ... Cathlics wrong, JW right.
