I just purchased the book on Lulu. I tried to find it on Amazon because I have an account with them but I couldn't find it. Lulu is fine and it was quick and easy to purchase the book there.
I am looking forward to reading the book.
grappling with conscience .
a must read, i wept by the rivers of babylon,a prisoner of conscience in a time of war, is an important self-portrait of a naive young man, terry walstrom, who in 1967 thought he was obeying his conscience when he refused to take up arms and kill.
inasmuch as he was a conscientious objector, walstrom could have availed himself of noncombatant service in the military, but he was opposed to that arrangement.

# 3 newbie post.
first of all, the newbies have set a record here!.
have you ever seen a 4pg post where 21 new members reply!
I always take the time to read new posters introduction threads. It is wonderful to have the new ones here.
...it is not the first time i did this but from time to time when i get frustrated i tend to say things i later regret, like this.. she went to the meeting this past sunday and apparently she heard a talk about watching her associations.
she told me that she was glad to have that talk because the message was timely for her.
you see, the saturday night prior she and my kids were at her sisters house and her sister and friends suggested that she hang out with them sometime.
Jehovah's Witnesses think they have a right to lable everyone else but how dare anyone put lables on them. The bully people with the lable "apostate."
They are only going to get more and more bad press. Hopefully our loved ones are smart enough to get out sooner rather than later.

I worry about my still in family getting bitten by dogs and shot at. Wish I could get them out of this cult. The world does hate them, not because they are Jesus' disciples, but because of the constant Saturday morning doorbell ringing.
This man does need some anger management therapy.
ive been around this board for quite awhile.
it has helped immensely.
lately i just read everyone elses experiences and try and forget the whole nightmare...but i cant.
I cannot wait to see this! It is a good thing to do and will educate others about this sick cult.

I will get the book for sure. Terry is such a good writer and I read all his posts here on JWN.
absolutely weird.
minding my own business while pumping gas - this 60 year old short jw lady with fluffed bun styled 60's hair and her 30 year old attractive 5 ' 10 inch jw lady partner came straight up to me as i'm pumping.
they picked the wrong hombre .
You ruined their day in field service, didn't you? Good!
everybody knows it's going to pass.
nobody ever asks if possibly that much money for the circuit overseer's whatever isn't a bit too much, or whatever else the congregation is being asked to agree to.
then the call to raise your hand if in favor of doing the "right thing.
I always was shocked at those who questioned these resolutions. What were they thinking? Are they questioning the wisdom of Jehovah's spirit appointed elders?
Now I know that they just had a brain and were probably partoff the conscious class.

Good job!
here is my introduction letter.
my jw and biological sister is getting married this weekend and 3 weeks ago i received a letter actually uninviting me to this showy display.
i was stunned to say the least.
Welcome friend. Sorry you have been treated this way. You have to go out and find what will make you happy. Don't let others ruin your wonderful life.
