A sister in our old congregation use to leave magazines in the washrooms at the shopping mall...the caretakers asked her to stop because people were blocking the toilets trying to flush them down...She continued leaving more until the mall manager called the Kingdom Hall begging the brothers to talk to the sister...

This year will be the first time since 1957 (when I was an infant) that I will not attend the Memorial. My wife as become more active since I decided I had enough with their silly doctrinal changes and lies, but she didn't ask if I was going to attend. Conveniently, Sunday morning I am leaving on a business trip to where all my JW family lives...but I won't be joining them either. I'm sure they would be shocked if they found out I was in town and that I didn't join them for the "most important" AKA only JW celebration of the year.

Good job Luna...telling them as little as possible. This morning I got a call from a "friend" from the congregation who said he missed me...we talked about his new born son for a little then he asked if he could come by so we could take a walk and talk as we use to in the past. I told him that I miss him too, but at this time I wanted to be left alone. He replied that he understood, that sometimes we need to take a break. I thanked him for his call. By the way, I haven't been to a meeting for the last 10 months...and this is the first "friend" to call and inquire...

June 13th 2010 - after attending 2 of the 3 days of the DC. I was shocked by the lack of reaction when the brother explained the new meaning of "generation" during the WT review. As this wasn't enough, during the final talk the crowd was told that today's anointed were part of the original generation that would not pass before the end - then no reaction except for some nodding their head in sign of approval! I realized that only people prisoner of a cult could accept such a fundamental doctrinal without questioning it. There are no members of the GB left from the 1914 era...most if not all were born after 1935 - another teaching they had to change to cover up their lies. But for cult members, 2 lines in the WT are enough to adjust their belief...it's in the WT and it comes from God because they say so.

I just got my memorial invite
by twinkle toes inwell technically it is an anniversary invite/special talk invite.
the car group was just here.
i was home but hiding and my husband got the door.. i want to tell them exactly why i am not going , but i haven't got my head quite there yet.. i think i am gonna have to just decline!.

Just looked at my work schedule...surprise I am flying out of town that very morning...my wife surely will ask me if I will attend since my business trip brings me where my whole JW family lives...instead I wil have dinner with my daughter who is disassociated. First time in 53 years that I am not going to have the crackers and wine pass under my nose. In the last few years I was one of the servers...and I won't miss participating in the poorly rehearsed choreography of taking the dishes from table to pass it to the audience, back to the table, from the speaker passing it to the servers and to the speaker...back to the table...let do it one more time!

the article states that jesus never said there would be an increase in earthquakes, but that they would be "great" earthquakes in one place after the other...like we have seen lately.
this is quite a change with the wts' obsession of trying to prove that since 1914 there has been a significant increase in the number of occurances,comparing fictious numbers from the time of jc until 1914 and from 1914 until today!

Thnks JW Facts for quoting the 2002 Awake - still most JWs believe that there is an increase in earthquake occurances and see such as fullfilment of the sign of the end...What bothers me about the quote in the April 2011 WT is how "Jesus never said there would be an increase in earthquakes" roll of their tongue as if they never taught the opposite for decades and how this still stands in publications that are still used to convince HHH people in the field....

I agree 100% with J. Hofer, some idiot preacher burned a Quran...some idiot muslin should burn a bible, case closed, point made...But no, innocent victims unaware of the event must pay with their life to satisfy Allah! The same goes for risking a child's life by refusing a blood transfusion to prove your faith to an all loving god named YHWH...a price must be paid as a proof of rightousness.

Still real expert say that the number of "great" earthquakes have also been steady for the past century. One other thing I noted is that the address common objections to their statements...but their rebuttal only work for those who have a weak critical mind.

by NVR2L8 ini rarely look at any wt publications anymore, but under watching the world, april 2011 awake quotes a newspaper article that blames the covering of sexual abuse on the misguided loyalty to the absolute authority of the catholic church.
i couldn't help thinking of the many cases of child abuse amongst jws that have been swept under the rug for the exact same reason - the absolute authority of the fds!
they have no shame pointing their finger at others when in fact they are as bad...if not worse in mistreating the victims of abuse.
