Why don't Born Again Christians include themselves as "Cults"?
by booker-t inwhen i see or hear born again christians calling mormons, jws, 7th day adventists, jews etc; cults i always have wondered is that not the pot calling the kettle black?
i just amazes me how so much in denial bacs(born again christians) are.
they love to condemn and throw stones at others but they will never, never, and i mean never label themselves as cults even though they have some of the weirdest beliefs.

Do you have a slight idea what you're talking about?
Why are you quoting Einstein in a QM discussion?
Einstein denied QM, and the biggest problem of science today is to find a way to conciliate QM with Relativity.
The video have so much bullcrap it's hard to find something as "fact" from it. It's just like to pick up undigested corn kernels from crap!

Subliminal images apart, the pictures are very creepy!
Poor little children forced to see these images and their parents actually "studying" these horror pictures.
I remember the impact caused in my young mind with all those lurid pictures from the Live Forever book.
These people are sick!

First indisputable link between aluminum and alzheimer's
by EndofMysteries inhttp://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/02/140212093300.htm.
elevated brain aluminium, early onset alzheimer's disease in an individual occupationally exposed to aluminiumdate:february 12, 2014 source:keele university summary:research has shown for the first time that an individual who was exposed to aluminum at work and died of alzheimers disease had high levels of aluminum in the brain.
while aluminum is a known neurotoxin and occupational exposure to aluminum has been implicated in neurological disease, including alzheimers disease, this finding is believed to be the first record of a direct link between alzheimers disease and elevated brain aluminum following occupational exposure to the metal.

In the 19th century the woo was around electricity.
Even the WT had the Radio Biola! LOL
QM it's science, there's nothing related to woo.
Meanwhile we'll hear a lot of conmen with "quantum leaps".
Quantum Radio Biola, Quantum Wheat, Quantum Snake Oil...
And there's no evidence about a creator of the universe.
And even if it had one, who created him? The creator premise demands an useless ad infinitum question.

Why that narrator are trying to copy the Sagan's cosmological accent? What a fail! Just woo woo.
The mind does not need to be explained through quantum physics.
The brain it's not a suitable advice to perform any quantum computing.
The mind probably is under classical computing on a biological substrate, just neurons firing on and off.
The conscious mind/self it's seriously doubted to even exist, considering the more sophisticated forms os idealism (buddhism) and materialism (eliminative). Maybe the self it's just folk psychology as folk physics (flat earth, astrology) or folk biology (creationism).

What is the main "idea" of the bible?
by KateWild inas jws we were often told what the theme of the bible is, we were taught that it was the promised seed.. i was recently asked the question.... what is the main "idea" of the bible?.
for me the whole purpose of the bible is about control.
it features a god that punishes and rewards.

I think you're right about the negative side of the bible.
The positive side is men trying to give some meaning to a wild and full of terror world.
As a born-in JW I experienced what is like to have no scientific and philosophical knowledge and still having to get some sense from the world.
The demons vs angels seemed very satisfactory to me in my not so humble ignorance.

How Do You Come to Terms with Being Just One of the 7 Billion?
by will-be-apostate inbeing a jw makes one feel special, no doubt.
when i found out ttatt i realized i'm not special at all.
i'm just one of the other 7 billion human beings who will live and die being nobody, the world will forget about them (and i'm not talking about relatives and friend), they didn't make anything special in their life, they didn't change the course of history, were not famous nor rich, didn't invent facebook, google or anything awesome, didn't have an article published in newscientist, had no imdb profil, not even a wiki page, didn't write a book etc.

We are part of an interconnected world. You cannot say you make no difference. You just can help someone who in future will do something big, we never know. Think in the butterfly effect. Just your existence now, make a disturbance in whole universe.
But I know how frustrating is to start the life in negative score. Every born-in feels the same. But you can always remember no matter how miserable your situation, always will be someone in a worse situation. This thought is a double edge sword, it brings consolation and perplexity at the same time.
