  i used to live in a part of england that was popular with tourists.

  the kind of tourist who wanted to experiance the "real" rural england.

  they would come to my town and thrill at the quaint old shops, delight in afternoon tea at the many little tea rooms.

  I don't normally bother with 'debate' type threads but I'll give my tuppence ha'penny.

  The original argument is very 'Watchtower News Speak'. IE. Polarizing things to an 'US vs: THEM' no middle ground argument. This is how the Watchtower works. It gives 'Hobson's Choice', only 2 alternatives, choose 'A' or 'B', there are no other options. Whereas, there are always other possibilities 'C' 'D' 'E' etc, etc.

  That's all I'll say and I won't be on this thread again!

  He's entitled to his opinion! If he hasn't been a JW it isn't a very good opinion. My opinion and I'm entitled to it is the Watchtower Organization = Anti-Christ Pyramid Business Real Estate Scam posing as a religion to gain money and power over it's members.

  ok, this bugs me.

  two of my cousins were talking on facebook (different families), both are in, one more than the other.

  the one was molested by her dad, who never went to meetings for the 40 years i knew him.

  On a side note, I don't believe letters sent to 'Questions from readers' get published an answered.

  I often noticed the trend seemed to be the 'Q's from readers' was worded more like a Watchtower letter 'hack' inventing questions to introduce 'new light'.

  I don't know if this assumption has any merit.

  Years ago I wrote to Bethel with a question about the prophecies in Daniel and washTowel interpretation. I questioned about alexander's successors and gave a logical explanation as to why I thought the answer was something different.

  All I received was the answer that what the book said was what we should believe. Substance of that. I thought: 'what twats!'

  i saw there are over a billion children under the age of 10 on the earth today.

  "Jehovah" as in Jehovah's Witnesses doesn't exist. This is just the 'brand name' for a god the JW's brand all their products with.

  My point is: Jehovah will do whatever the Governing Body tell him to do. Or so these deluded weirdos think.

  They revel in the idea of innocent people and children being murdered at the big 'A' hence they put gory pictures to frighten children in their infantile publications.

  He didn't obey Fred Franz when Freddie told hin to bring Armageddon in 1975. However, that was my fault among others for believing Freddies' lies. Serves me right!

  I expect it's MY fault the big 'J' has obeyed the GB and now has the hilarious overlapping going on!

  Thanks OTWO. I feel honoured. Blushing!!

  One of the things that pushed me over the edge and made me leave 'cold turkey' was the overlapping thing. Now the big 'A' need never come in our lifetime (it won't anyway but y'know, for argument sake), and the smug GB can say......'See we're right! They're still overlapping is why!'

  one of the women was beaten, and both were detained by police.. two women who are jehovahs witnesses were invited into the home of their neighbor in the city of davanagere, located in central india, on the morning of december 20, 2010. the witnesses had met the woman a few years ago and were seeking to share a positive thought from the bible with her after learning that her husband had died.
